This was great last year.
We caught moths, heard bats with a sonic detecter and watched the moln round z fire. Shame I can't make it this year.

More bee images from my hive inspection today.
There's a colony with a new laying queen and one with no queen but hopefully a good queen cell.

This bee is going crazy with the nectar from Aruncus/ Goats beard flowers. It's pollen sacs looked laden but she hasn't had her fill yet?

Great time had at Highland show in the Alphamed first aid team.

The warmest day in May in UK for 72 years. Pretty scary, if lovely temperature here at 26° with a cooling breeze.
Need some climate stabalising actions right now.
But not giving up having a car..

Come a long to find a range of bargain plants. Tree seedlings, sweet peas, vegetable seedlings, perennial and annual flowers, herbs will be there to browse through.
Helpful herbs may have a table of herbal medicines and skin moisteurisers there too.

The late spring picking begins.
Life has returned to normal. I have finally got time to collect herbs. Such a good year for Hawthorn and other white blossoms like Dogwood/Cornus. .
So here are Hawthorn / Crategeus flowers; Black currant/Ribes nigrum leaves and Catnep/ Nepeta in place to dry for Tasty herbal teas.
