Festival season has arrived, which means thousands of music lovers (and probably a few wellies) will be making their way to Kendal Calling from Thursday onwards.

If you're due to visit us, please allow yourself plenty of extra travel time to get to your appointment. We know the festival traffic can be a little unpredictable!

If you think you'll be swapping the dentist's chair for the main stage, please let us know at least 24 hours in advance if you can't make your appointment so we can offer it to another patient.

To everyone heading to Kendal Calling, have an amazing weekend, sing your heart out, dance like nobody's watching, and fingers crossed the only mud you'll see is on your wellies! ๐Ÿคžโ˜€๏ธ๐ŸŽต

The FIFA World Cup may be over, but our Ghyllmount sweepstake certainly kept the excitement going โšฝ๐Ÿ†

We've had so much fun following the tournament together, and it's definitely brought out everyone's friendly competitive side in the practice.

A huge congratulations to Leanne, who picked Spain and takes the top spot after they were crowned World Cup champions! ๐Ÿฅ‡

A big well done as well to Karon, whose team Argentina finished as runners-up, earning her second place! ๐Ÿฅˆ

Thanks to everyone who took part and helped make it such a fun few weeks. We can't wait for the next office competition ๐Ÿ˜„โšฝ

โ˜€๏ธ With the Summer Holidays now underway, many of us will be travelling further afield and enjoying more outdoor activities and sports.

We wanted to share this important advice again as a reminder, just in case anyone ever needs it.

Losing an adult tooth can be frightening and stressful, but acting quickly can make all the difference.

๐Ÿฆท If an adult tooth is knocked out:

1๏ธโƒฃ Try to find the tooth.
2๏ธโƒฃ Do not scrub the tooth or remove any tissue attached to it.
3๏ธโƒฃ Gently rinse off any dirt using cold water or, ideally, your own saliva.
4๏ธโƒฃ If you feel confident, carefully place the tooth back into the socket using gentle pressure. Check it is the right way around, but don't worry too much about the exact angle.
5๏ธโƒฃ Contact a dentist immediately and ask to be seen straight away.
6๏ธโƒฃ If you cannot replace the tooth, store it in saliva, milk or salt water. Do not wrap it in tissue or allow it to dry out.

โฐ Time is extremely important when it comes to saving a knocked-out adult tooth, so seek dental advice as quickly as possible.

Please remember: this advice applies to adult teeth only.

We're delighted to welcome James to Ghyllmount today! ๐ŸŽ‰

At Ghyllmount, we're always looking for ways to improve the care we provide. We recognise that our current waiting times for endodontic (root canal) treatment have become too long, and we know this is simply not acceptable for patients who may be experiencing pain. We are committed to addressing this and improving access to treatment as quickly as possible.

To help us achieve this, we're pleased to welcome James, who will be joining our team over the summer. His support will allow us to increase our endodontic capacity, helping patients be seen sooner while also ensuring that Andy can continue to provide the highest standard of care without the risk of burnout.

We're excited to have James on board and look forward to the positive difference this will make for our patients. He comes highly recommended by our very own Andy and Giles.
