Just to let you know that the clinic will be closing on April 4th 2025.

It's been an utter privilege to work with all the folk I have helped over the years.

I'm also eternally grateful to the world of acupuncture for endowing me with the skills to help folk with a myriad of conditions and issues over this time.

I'd also like to express my gratitude to all those acupuncture masters that have gone before, who gave of their wisdom in so many ways.

Plenty of cupping on display at the Olympics, such a good therapy to aid muscle recovery. It's one of the treatments I use frequently in my clinic to help with musculoskeletal conditions.

Acupuncture as Good as Antihistamines for Hayfever

We're coming to the end of the hayfever season for many so it's worth bearing in mind for next year.

The research was based on findings from 30 different studies with over 4000 participants and bears out well in my clinic, with many folk benefiting this summer from reduced symptoms of sneezing and itchy eyes what a relief that must be!

Acupuncture Increases Pregnancy Rates in IVF

An overview of systematic reviews by Chinese authors has concluded that acupuncture seems to be beneficial in increasing pregnancy rates in in vitro fertilisation and embryo transfer (IVF-ET). The review included 312 randomised controlled trials involving 65,388 participants. The analysis suggested that acupuncture was superior to sham acupuncture in improving the clinical pregnancy rate (CPR) of IVF-ET. When compared with no adjunctive treatment, acupuncture improved CPR, ongoing pregnancy rate and reduced miscarriage and biochemical pregnancy rates.
