đŸ”„ CLIENT SPOTLIGHT – TIM'S JOURNEY đŸ”„

Meet Tim 👏

"Honestly, before I started, I wasn't ready to start."

That might sound strange, but for Tim, making the decision to join wasn't about finding the perfect time—it was about being truly committed.

Like many people, taking that first step through the door felt nerve-wracking. But those nerves quickly disappeared.

"The first impressions were that there are many different people that use the gym, all ages and fitness levels, and I felt at home from the start. It just has a warm feeling about the place."

Since joining, Tim has made one thing non-negotiable: attending at least two sessions every week.

That consistency is now paying off.

đŸ’Ș Increased strength
📉 Improved measurements
⚡ More energy
🎯 Better focus

"Some sessions are better than others, but that's fine. An average session is better than no session!"

Not only has Tim stuck to his sessions, but he's also added extra training on his own and embraced our Summer Shred Challenge, becoming more accountable with nutrition and lifestyle habits.

The biggest change?

"I genuinely have more energy and more focus to achieve my goals."

As he entered his mid-forties, Tim wanted to create better habits—not just for himself, but for his family too.

"As the week goes on, I look forward to getting back in the gym and always feel better afterwards."

His advice to anyone thinking about starting?

⭐ Commit to yourself.
⭐ Keep showing up.
⭐ Get through the door.

"The wonderful trainers will sort you out. The amount of encouragement you get from the other people in the sessions surprised me, and it adds so much to the experience. It really has such a good family feel about the place."

Tim, we're incredibly proud of the progress you've made so far. Your consistency, commitment and attitude are a great example of what can happen when you simply keep turning up.

👏 Keep up the fantastic work, Tim!

Your environment can influence your success more than your motivation.

When you’re surrounded by people who support your goals, everything becomes easier.

The days you don’t feel like training?
Someone encourages you.

The days you doubt yourself?
Someone reminds you how far you’ve come.

Studies show that social support can significantly improve exercise adherence and long-term success.

Fitness isn’t just about workouts.

It’s about belonging somewhere that wants to see you succeed.

At Ladeside, every member starts somewhere.

No judgement.
No intimidation.
Just support.

Because nobody achieves great things alone.

You can’t out-train poor nutrition.

Exercise is important, but what happens outside the gym matters too.

Good nutrition isn’t about restriction.
It’s about fuelling your body properly.

The basics work:
đŸ„© Prioritise protein
đŸ„Š Eat plenty of fruit and vegetables
💧 Stay hydrated
🍚 Include carbohydrates to fuel activity
😮 Support recovery with quality sleep

The people who achieve lasting results aren’t following extreme diets.

They’re building habits they can maintain for years.

Small changes repeated consistently will always beat perfection for a few weeks.

What is one healthy habit you’re working on right now?

Strength Training

One of the biggest misconceptions in fitness is that you need endless cardio to get results.

Strength training is one of the most effective things you can do for your health.

Regular strength training can:
✅ Increase muscle mass
✅ Improve bone density
✅ Boost metabolism
✅ Improve everyday movement and function
✅ Help maintain independence as we age

The best part?

You don’t need to be lifting huge weights.

Progress comes from gradually challenging yourself and becoming stronger than you were yesterday.

Every rep completed.
Every weight increased.
Every session attended.

It all adds up.

Strong isn’t a look.
Strong is a lifestyle.

Your Why

The people who succeed aren’t always the most motivated. They’re the ones with a reason that’s strong enough to keep them going when motivation disappears.

Your “why” is the reason you started.

Maybe it’s to have more energy for your children.
Maybe it’s to feel confident again.
Maybe it’s to improve your health.
Maybe it’s simply to prove to yourself that you can.

Research consistently shows that people who connect their exercise routine to a meaningful personal goal are more likely to stick with it long term.

The scale might not move every week.
Life will get busy.
There will be days when you don’t feel like training.

Your why is what gets you through those moments.

Before you focus on where you want to be, remind yourself why you started.

What’s your why?

Getting Sunday set right ☀

If you’re someone who struggles to make time for exercise during the week, Sunday morning can be a great place to start.

Not because you need to spend hours in the gym.

But because making some time to move—whether that’s a walk, a run, a gym session, or time outdoors with the family—is always better than doing nothing.

You don’t need to be fit to start.

You just need to start.

Happy Sunday everyone

Signing off for another week 🙌

A huge well done to everyone who made time for themselves and got their training done this week.

It’s also been fantastic to welcome some new faces through the doors—a reminder that every journey starts with a decision.

A decision to take action now.

Not next week.
Not next month.
Not when life feels less busy.

Now.

Because six months from now, you’ll either be glad you started or wishing you had.

Imagine where you could be if you spent the next six months prioritising your health, building confidence, creating routine, and investing in yourself.

The time will pass anyway.

The question is: where do you want to be when it does?

Now is your time ❀

“I feel stuck with my training.”
“I’ve never done anything like this before.”
“I need to build my confidence before I come back.”

We hear these things all the time.

And honestly?
That’s exactly why we do what we do.

Because most people don’t fail from lack of effort.
They struggle because they don’t have the right support, structure, or environment around them.

At Rodney Fitness Group Personal Training, you’re never doing it alone.

We have a team of 8 personal trainers ready to coach, guide, encourage, and support you every step of the way.

Let us say that again

8 coaches.
One goal—helping you succeed 🙌

Whether you’re starting for the first time, coming back after time away, or simply needing direction again, we’re here for it.

Maybe we’re the missing piece you’ve been looking for ❀

Change doesn’t happen overnight.

And truthfully?
The changes that last the longest usually take the most time.

Expecting your whole life, body, confidence, and routine to completely transform in 6 or 8 weeks just isn’t realistic.

Our habits, routines, and lifestyles have often been built over years—so changing them takes patience, consistency, and support.

That’s why the first things we focus on with our clients are always:

✔ Habits
✔ Training
✔ Consistency

Not extremes.
Not cutting everything out.
Not trying to be perfect.

Just building a lifestyle that works for you long term.

Because the real achievement isn’t a quick fix.
It’s looking back 6 months, 1 year, 2 years from now and realising how far you’ve come—not just physically, but mentally too.

If you’re ready to start, now is your time
