✨️ Yoga for Self Compassion - Update ✨️
I am excited to announce that instead of holding a second group series, my diary is open for 1:1 or 1:2s at The Mindful Sanctuary, my cosy private studio at my home in Yaxley.
We'll work together through the programme on a bi-weekly basis, giving you the time and space you need to absorb and integrate the practices, as well as spreading the cost to make it more affordable.
This seven week series is for anybody who has experienced trauma and is living with the after effects. It is an empowering practice that prioritizes the lived experience and healing of each and every participant.
Trauma informed yoga helps participants build incremental shifts over time to widen their window of tolerance, strengthen their coping skills, and most importantly feel empowered in their choices and grounded in their worth.
Trauma is subjective and there is no one sized fits all approach to recovery. Tending to our nervous system to access safety in the body can help us regulate and recover more effectively from triggers/stress and allow us to respond rather than react.
Each 75 minute class has a theme. You will receive a workbook for you to keep and refer back to when you need it. The contents include journaling pages, theme related poems which I include in class, grounding exercises for tending to your nervous system, compassionate reminders on honouring your boundaries, reminders for when your nervous system is at capacity.
We will also create safety jars and each week set an intention on a token to keep inside it. This is a beautiful keepsake to remind you of your journey.
