📢 Reception Changes at Peterhead Community Hospital

From Monday 29th June, the MIU / Treatment Room Reception will close and merge with Main Reception.

Please note this change is happening at the Hospital and does not affect the GP practice reception area.

➡️ Main Reception will be the central point of contact for patients, visitors and members of the public who require help, information or direction within the hospital.

✅ What you need to know:

Check-in for appointments, including MIU, Treatment Room, CTAC, Secondary Care Hub and all Outpatients, will now take place at Main Reception

Main Reception will support general enquiries and provide directions
Some services (e.g. Physiotherapy, Maternity and X-Ray) will continue to check in their patients as normal

The previous MIU / Treatment Room Reception will no longer be in use

This change is being made to improve patient experience and strengthen support across our reception teams.

Job Advert – Clerical Officer
Due to increasing demand, we have a fantastic opportunity for a Clerical Officer to join our amazing team at Peterhead Health Centre.

We are looking for a hardworking, enthusiastic, and motivated individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate:
· Strong IT and organisational abilities
· The ability to prioritise workload effectively
· A friendly and approachable manner when dealing with patients

Main duties include (but are not limited to):
· Reception
· Management of appointment systems
· Electronic filing of medical records
· Operation of the telephone system
· Start and end of day procedures

This is a busy and fast-paced role, requiring high levels of accuracy and professionalism, whilst adhering to strict confidentiality guidelines.

Although experience of working with the public or in a GP Practice setting is preferred, full training will be provided.

This is a permanent position, working approximately 37 hours across 4 days Monday - Friday. Candidates must be available to start work at 8am.
