Missed appointments

Unfortunately in the past month we have had 199 missed appointments at the Surgery. This month that was around 61 hours of appointments.

For a 4th month in a row this is very high.

We will remove patients who repeatedly DNA despite warnings.

We appreciate that sometimes patients are unable to attend for valid reasons but we do request that if you are unable to attend an appointment that you try to let us know as soon as possible. This will enable the appointment to be offered to someone else.

Learn how to protect your eyes whilst watching the partial solar eclipse!

We probably shouldn’t have to say this, but don’t look directly at the sun. Looking directly at the sun without the right protection can cause permanent damage to your eyesight – so you need to take care. Remember, your normal sunglasses may look great, but they won't cut it.

EDMG Brass Band is committed to providing children, especially those who may not otherwise have the opportunity, with the chance to try a brass instrument, develop new skills, and discover whether music and banding might become a rewarding hobby for them. Gareth's day time band are freely committing time to enable this to happen.

These free sessions are open to children aged 6 years and over and are a great opportunity for young people to have a go at learning a brass instrument in a fun and supportive environment.

Session details:

• Tuesday 18th August – Roseby Road Community Centre
• Wednesday 19th August – Wingate Community Centre
• Time: 11:00am – 1:00pm
• Children must be accompanied by an adult
