Just look at how beautiful our garden is looking.🌼💚

Some of our residents have a real talent for gardening and love getting involved in keeping our outdoor spaces looking their best.

We were also very lucky to have the wonderful Stella join us. As a volunteer, she brought along lots of beautiful plants and spent time helping our residents with the gardening.

Thank you Stella for giving up your time and helping to bring so much enjoyment to our residents. ❤️

Join us for a fantastic afternoon of community fun. We have something for everyone, including live entertainment all afternoon, a petting farm, games, a delicious BBQ, a Pimms tent, and so much more!

It’s Meet the Team Monday - a chance to shine the spotlight on the incredible people behind the care at Downs House. 🙌

Debbie, our Wellbeing & Activities Coordinator, leads a range of activities and outings, helping to keep our residents active, engaged, and connected to what matters to them.

Other highlights of her time at Downs House include playing a key role in helping to raise an incredible £1,900 for Dementia Friendly Petersfield, supporting a cause that means a great deal to our residents, families, and the wider community.

Today we celebrated a very special occasion - Peter and Frankie's 71st wedding anniversary! 🎂

Our chef baked a beautiful cake, and we presented flowers and a card from everyone here at Downs House. With family in to visit too, it was such a lovely, joy-filled day.

A huge congratulations to Peter and Frankie on their special day.

Irene and Shirley recently spent the afternoon baking these lovely jam tarts. It’s always great to see our residents sharing their skills - and we can confirm they tasted just as good as they looked.

What a wonderful way to spend time with our local community! 💃✨

Dementia Friendly Petersfield recently hosted an afternoon tea and dance, complete with professional dancers, delicious cake, and refreshments. As you can see, the dancing was nothing short of incredible, and some of our residents loved getting involved.

A huge thank you to Dementia Friendly Petersfield and the talented dancers who gave up their time to put a smile on everyone’s faces.

Getting out and being part of the local community is so important to us at Downs House.

Some of our residents regularly attend the Dementia Friendly Petersfield choir - a wonderful initiative that brings people living with dementia together through the joy of singing. 🎶

You can see what a positive impact this has in the smiles on everyone's faces, and we are so proud of our team who support our residents every step of the way. 😊

There’s nothing quite like a singalong to bring people together. 🎶

The wonderful Shaun visited recently, singing some well-loved favourites with each of our residents. It was lovely to see so many smiles and the memories that music can bring back.
