Meet the team Monday! 👋

We’re taking a moment to highlight the fantastic individuals who help make life at Stroud House so special, and this week we’re introducing Lisa, our Activities Coordinator.

Lisa is passionate about really understanding each resident and discovering what matters most to them. She then shapes meaningful activities around their needs and interests, helping to create moments of connection, creativity and positivity every day. ❤️

Last week we celebrated World Environment Day with a burst of colour and creativity. 🌿🌸

Our Activities Co-ordinator led a brilliant arts and crafts session, where residents created colourful flowers using cupcake cases.

As you can see, everyone’s creations were beautiful and we had great fun making them together. 😊

For Richard, staying connected with his daughter Nikki who lives in Thailand is incredibly important. ❤️

She teaches there, and her students regularly write letters to us at Stroud House. With support from our Activities Co-ordinator, Lisa, Richard reads each letter and sends replies back, sharing stories and experiences from his own life.

What started as a way of keeping in touch has grown into a wonderful exchange between generations and cultures.

A simple but meaningful example of person-centred care - taking the time to support the connections that matter most to each resident. 💌

We now have our very own page, and we’re excited to start sharing regular updates from our wonderful home.

To kick things off… we made the most of last week’s heatwave with plenty of ice lollies all round to help our residents stay cool and refreshed. 🍦☀️
