๐ฌ New Reiki Researchโ
โ
Researchers compared 2 massage sessions, 2 Reiki sessions, and 4 Reiki sessions in 87 adults receiving hormone therapy for breast or prostate cancer. All three interventions reduced cancer-related fatigue, but Reiki demonstrated the largest improvements, particularly among those who received four Reiki sessions.โ
โ
Researchers found:โ
โ
Both Reiki and massage significantly reduced cancer-related fatigue.โ
โ
Reiki demonstrated larger improvements in fatigue than massage.โ
โ
Participants receiving four Reiki sessions experienced the greatest improvements in overall fatigue, worst fatigue, and fatigue interfering with daily life.โ
โ
Reiki was found to be safe, well accepted by participants, and feasible to deliver in a clinical setting.โ
โ
This study adds to the growing body of evidence supporting Reiki as a complementary therapy alongside conventional cancer care. While larger clinical trials are still needed, these findings suggest Reiki as a supportive option for people experiencing cancer-related fatigue during hormone therapy.โ
