Did you know that essential oils are highly concentrated extracts from plants?

They can be made from different parts of a plant, including flowers, leaves, stems, fruit and bark. Lavender, for example, is commonly used in aromatherapy for its distinctive calming scent.

A little bit of a personal post today…

About five years ago I had a fall. It was only a little fall, but I managed to do quite a number on myself! I twisted my pelvis, damaged my knee in four places, and I’ve been left with a pretty much permanently twisted pelvis and painful hip.

Most of the time I manage it, but yesterday I was in so much pain that I had to take some cocodamol. I really don’t like taking medication unless I have to, and today it’s left me feeling so low and groggy.

It’s reminded me why I’m so drawn to a holistic approach to wellbeing. I love exploring what I can do naturally through things like massage, Reiki, reflexology, breathwork and simply giving my body and mind some care.

It’s a big part of why I went into this work in the first place.

Sometimes our bodies really do remind us to slow down and listen. ❤️
