📢 IMPORTANT UPDATE – WINDSOR HOUSE BLOOD TEST SERVICE

We would like to apologise for some incorrect information that was recently sent out by text message regarding the blood test service at Windsor House, they no longer offer a walk in service.

Please disregard the information contained in the previous text message, as this was sent in error. If you have received this message please let us know so we can send you the correct message.

We are sorry for any confusion or inconvenience this may have caused. We are working to ensure that the correct information is provided to our patients.

We would like to extend our warmest congratulations to Dr Andy Potter on his retirement after an incredible 30 years of dedicated service at North Road West Medical Centre. Throughout his career, Dr Potter has shown unwavering commitment, compassion, and professionalism, making a lasting difference to both his colleagues and the many patients he has cared for over the years. His knowledge, kindness, and steady presence will be greatly missed by all who have had the privilege of working with him. ☀️ HEAT + ANTIDEPRESSANTS: WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW ☀️

As temperatures rise, it’s important to remember that some antidepressants — including SSRIs and SNRIs — can affect your body’s ability to regulate heat and stay hydrated.

Medications like:
• Sertraline
• Citalopram
• Fluoxetine
• Duloxetine
• Mirtazapine
…and similar antidepressants may increase the risk of heat exhaustion or overheating during hot weather.

💧 Stay safe this summer by:
✔ Drinking plenty of water
✔ Taking breaks in cool or shaded areas
✔ Avoiding prolonged direct sun exposure
✔ Watching for signs of overheating like dizziness, headache, nausea, or excessive sweating

Please check in on friends, family, neighbors, and vulnerable community members during heat waves. Sharing information can help keep people safe.
