Our Modern Matron was invited to attend a reception at 10 Downing Street to celebrate the 78th anniversary of the National Health Service and to recognise the extraordinary dedication of NHS staff.

Sandra was honoured for her remarkable career in mental health nursing spanning four decades 👏👏

⭐️ To celebrate International Nurses Day, we are highlighting the amazing work done by a team at Livewell Southwest which is providing innovative physical and mental healthcare for people experiencing homelessness ⭐️

Hundreds of people in Plymouth like Steve are getting the vital care they need thanks to Health Inclusion Pathway Plymouth (HIPP). The HIPP team was established to meet the needs of people with complex lives who cannot access standard services.

➡️ Research shows people who are homeless are admitted to hospital at more than twice the rate of the housed population, rising to ten times higher among people sleeping rough or in hostels.

➡️ Around 30% of deaths among homeless hospital patients are from preventable or treatable causes.
