🌸 What a Lovely Day We’ve Had! 🌸
We’ve had another wonderful day filled with smiles, laughter and lots of fun! 💕
This morning, our lovely hairdresser Louise came in and helped make our ladies feel extra special and beautiful. 💇‍♀️✨ There were lots of smiles as everyone enjoyed being pampered!
We then got creative with a little arts and crafts, followed by a good old tidy-up in the Hub! 🧹😂 Our residents were more than happy to lend a helping hand and help Tara and James get everything lovely and tidy.
This afternoon, we headed up to Mv2, where we enjoyed some board games, a little exercise and, of course, plenty of singing! 🎶💃 Everyone joined in and had such a fantastic time.
And we even had a few magical moments with some of our lovely residents along the way. ✨❤️
It really has been a beautiful day, filled with friendship, fun and lots of happy memories. 🥰

✨ A Magical Moment ✨
There’s nothing better than seeing a smile like this! ❤️
Our wonderful Marion was up dancing and singing along to “Hands Up, Baby Baby” 🎶🙌💃
With the biggest smile on her face, she truly brought the magic to the room! Seeing Marion so happy, enjoying the music and having a dance is what making special memories is all about. 🥰
Moments like these are simply priceless. ❤️✨

🌟 What a wonderful Bank Holiday Monday 🌟
What a fun-filled and action-packed day we’ve had! 💕🎉
This morning, we started with a good old game of Bingo, followed by some General Knowledge Quizzes. 🧠✨ We then had lots of fun playing “Guess Who I Am?”, with everyone trying to guess some famous actors and singers! 🎭🎤
It was fantastic to see everyone getting involved, having a laugh and enjoying themselves. ❤️
Then this afternoon, we were joined by the wonderful Mark the Singer, who entertained us with a fantastic mix of all the old favourites and some newer songs too! 🎶🎤
There were smiles, singing, laughter and even a few little dance moves! 💃🕺
A truly fabulous Bank Holiday Monday spent together at Devonshire house. ❤️ 🌟

What a lovely weekend we have had despite the weather! 🌦️

Saturday Shanice went around all the households singing and giving 1-1’s and had lots of people singing along and tapping their feet! 🎤🕺💃

Today we’ve had fun challenging ourselves with ball games, the parachute and even some table tennis 🏓 Everyone enjoyed a bit of light hearted fun !

🌺🌴☀️ WHAT AN ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS HAWAIIAN SUMMER FAIR! ☀️🌴🌺

What a day we’ve had today at Devonshire House & Lodge! 🌺🍹🎶

Our annual Summer Fair was given a fabulous Hawaiian twist this year, and WOW… what a fantastic day it turned out to be! 🏝️🌴🌞🌺

A massive thank you to all of our wonderful staff, residents, visitors and family members who embraced the theme and came dressed in their fabulous Hawaiian shirts, outfits and tropical accessories! 🌺👕🩴🌴 You all looked absolutely brilliant and really helped bring our Hawaiian theme to life! 🥰

🎶 A HUGE thank you to John, our amazing singer and entertainer! 🎤🎵
John had everyone singing, dancing, tapping their toes and thoroughly enjoying themselves. His music was absolutely brilliant, and it was fantastic seeing so many smiles throughout the day! 💃🕺🎶❤️

🍹🌺 A big thank you to Shanice for creating our fabulous mocktails for our “Tiki Bar at Devonshire on the Beach”! 🏖️🍹 From our tropical drinks to the delicious mojitos, they were incredibly popular and certainly didn’t last long! 😋🍹🌴 Thank you, Shanice! ❤️

🥥 THE COCONUT SHY! 🥥😂
What fantastic fun this was! We also had Hook-a-Duck 🦆 and Tin Can Alley 🎯, with the tins beautifully painted and decorated by our very own residents! 🎨❤️

And talking of our residents… 🌺❤️
Our fabulous residents also helped decorate our Tiki Bar, making it a real tropical Devonshire creation! 🌴🏝️🎨 It was wonderful seeing everyone getting involved and putting their own stamp on the day.

🚒🔥 A very special thank you to our local fire crew! 🔥🚒
They kindly brought the fire engine along for our residents to see, explore and talk to the firefighters. It was a fantastic opportunity for our residents to get up close to the fire engine and have a good chat with the crew. 🚒❤️

A massive thank you to Tara for organising this and for taking our residents out in small groups so everyone had the opportunity to enjoy the visit. 🌟❤️

🎟️🎁 OUR RAFFLE WAS A HUGE SUCCESS! 🎁🎟️
We had 30+ fantastic prizes to give away, and there was plenty of excitement as the numbers were called! 🥳🎉 We’re still busy counting up how much we raised, so bear with us… the final total will be revealed soon! 💰😉

🎨🌺 A MASSIVE THANK YOU TO LIZZIE! 🌺🎨
One of our fantastic Care Assistants, Lizzie, kindly came in and treated everyone to some fabulous Hawaiian-themed face painting! 🌴🦋🌺

The children absolutely loved it, and some of our residents got involved too! There were plenty of smiles, laughter and some fantastic tropical faces walking around Devonshire House! 😍🎨😂

🍗🍰 AND LET’S TALK ABOUT THE FOOD! 🍰🍗

A huge THANK YOU to our brilliant Kitchen Team for putting on an absolutely amazing spread! 👏❤️

From homemade cakes 🍰, delicious food 🍽️, chicken curry 🍛, BBQ pulled pork 🐷, chips 🍟, and so much more, everyone thoroughly enjoyed it!

And of course, we couldn’t forget our wonderful cream teas! 🫖🍓🍰 Scones, jam and cream — absolutely delicious! 😋❤️

The kitchen team worked incredibly hard behind the scenes to make sure everyone was well fed and looked after, and it really made the day extra special. 🌟👏

🎤🎶 And then, of course… KARAOKE! 🎶🎤
Because apparently we hadn’t had quite enough singing already! 😂🌺 What a brilliant way to round off such a fantastic day!

💦😂 And finally… our gardener Steve! 😂💦

Poor Steve became the official target of the day! 🎯🤣

Residents, staff, family members and visitors had an absolute blast soaking sponges and launching them at Steve — and let's just say… he got absolutely DRENCHED! 💦😂💦😂

It was hilarious, and the atmosphere was absolutely fantastic! 🌴☀️😂❤️

🌺🌴 WHAT A DAY! 🌴🌺

From the music 🎶, mocktails 🍹, games 🎯, face painting 🎨, fire engine 🚒, raffle prizes 🎁, amazing food 🍗🍰, karaoke 🎤, cream teas 🫖 and one very soggy gardener 💦😂… today really had it all!

A HUGE, MASSIVE THANK YOU to every single person who helped make our Devonshire House & Lodge Hawaiian Summer Fair such a wonderful success. ❤️🌺

Most importantly, thank you to our residents, whose smiles, laughter and enthusiasm made the whole day so incredibly special. 🥰❤️

🌟 What a fabulous couple of days at Devonshire House! 🌟
We’ve had such a lovely Monday and Tuesday filled with lots of fun, laughter, music and activities. ❤️
On Monday morning, we enjoyed a fun game of Bingo, followed by some fantastic focus sessions. William also enjoyed a lovely stroll out, and we even had a singalong to Sweet Caroline — William sang the whole song to me! 🎶😊
Today, we were treated to our fabulous hairdresser Louise, who was busy making all our ladies and gents look lovely. 💇‍♀️💇‍♂️✨ While the hairdressing was going on, the activity team were busy getting everything ready for our Summer Fair tomorrow! 🌞🎪
After lunch, we enjoyed some exercise classes . followed by lots of singing and some of our favourite songs. 🎶💃🕺
It really has been a fabulous couple of days, and we’re all so excited and looking forward to tomorrow’s Summer Fair at Devonshire House from 11am onwards! 🌞🎉
We can’t wait to see you all there! ❤️
