When Everything Feels Too Much 💭

Emotional overload can happen when stress, worry and difficult feelings build up over time. It does not mean you are failing. It means your mind and body may be carrying more than they have space for.

Sometimes the first step is simply to pause, name what you are feeling and ask what you need right now.

Counselling can offer space to talk things through, make sense of what is happening and find a steadier way forward.

If you would like to talk, we offer a free 15-minute phone conversation to help you get started.

How do I get over my emotions? 💭

The truth is, we do not always need to get over our emotions.
Often, we need to slow down enough to understand them.

Emotions can feel uncomfortable, but they also tell us something. They can point to stress, hurt, fear, overwhelm, or unmet needs.

This simple process is a reminder to pause, notice what is happening, and respond with a little more care and curiosity. Not every feeling needs to be pushed away. Sometimes it needs to be listened to.

If you are finding emotions hard to manage on your own, counselling can offer space to make sense of what you are feeling and what you need next.

If you would like to talk, we offer a free 15-minute phone conversation to help you get started.

What Is Holding You Back? 🌿

Fear of change?
Self-doubt?
Past hurt?
Overthinking?

Sometimes the hardest part is not moving forward. It is understanding what keeps you stuck in the first place.

Counselling offers space to reflect, make sense of things, and take steps forward with more clarity and confidence.

If you would like to talk, you can call us or find us here in Plymouth. We also offer a free 15-minute phone conversation to help you get started.

What Is In Your Control? 🌍

When life feels overwhelming, it is often because we are carrying things that are not ours to control. Other people’s reactions. The past. Uncertainty about the future.

A helpful way to find steadiness is to focus on what is within your circle of influence.
Your choices. Your responses. How you speak to yourself.

Psychology shows that shifting attention towards what we can influence helps reduce stress and increases a sense of control and clarity.

It does not mean ignoring what is difficult. It means placing your energy where it can actually make a difference.

Counselling can help you explore this more deeply and find ways to feel more grounded in the middle of uncertainty.

If you would like to talk, you can call us or find us here in Plymouth. We also offer a free 15-minute phone conversation to help you get started.

When Overthinking Takes Over 💭

Overthinking can feel like trying to solve everything at once.
The more you think, the harder it becomes to find a clear answer.

A simple way to break the cycle is to gently separate what you can control from what you cannot.
Focus on one small step you can take today, rather than trying to solve everything in your head.

Psychology shows that action, even small action, helps reduce mental overwhelm and brings a sense of clarity.

Counselling can help you slow things down, make sense of your thoughts, and find a way forward that feels manageable.
