nd healthier habits without restriction or guilt. My work is rooted in education, empowerment, and long-term change - because quick fixes don’t last, but sustainable habits do!

FYI there’s no such thing as TMI when you’re a healthcare professional 🤭

There’s also nothing glamorous about being constipated on holiday, so chia seeds are one of the first things I pack 🧳

My go-to? Chocolate protein powder, milk, yoghurt, cocoa powder and chia seeds. It tastes like dessert while giving me protein, probiotics, fibre, vitamins and minerals.

I make a mini chia pudding which is perfect to enjoy as a snack or dessert and helps to keep things moving and growing if you get what I mean 😉

Just 2 tablespoons of chia seeds provide around 10g of fibre, helping to support regular bowel movements. I always soak them first so they absorb the liquid before I eat them (rather than in my digestive system!) and make sure I’m drinking plenty of water throughout the day too.

Would you try this on holiday?!

I hadn’t planned on making a “health” reel from my wing walk snippets buuuuuut yet here I am 🙂‍↕️

It wasn’t until a family member asked to see videos from my wing walk and commented on how easily I climbed onto the plane that it made me stop and think??!!

To me, it just felt... normal??? I was showed where to put my feet, which parts of the plane to hold onto and told to pull myself up!

But the reality is, climbing up onto the wing required balance, mobility, grip strength, upper body strength, lower body strength and the confidence to trust my body!!

And that’s exactly why I’m such an advocate for strength training and looking after your health!!

Not because everyone wants to wing walk (it is pretty fun though, kind of like a rollercoaster as you’re safely strapped in and sat on a seat?!)

BUUUUUT because life constantly asks our bodies to do things outside the gym!!

Whether that’s carrying your children, lifting a suitcase into an overhead locker, moving furniture, hiking up a mountain, getting up off the floor, or saying “yes” to an opportunity that once felt impossible like doing a 5K!

Too often (in my opinion) we reduce exercise to burning calories or changing the way we look.

But one of the greatest gifts it gives us is CAPABILITY.

Your body is with you for life!!! And throughout life there will always be things we’re unable to control when it comes to our bodies. But if you have the capacity, I really do recommend doing what you can to take care of yourself!!

Invest in what it can *do*, not just how it looks!!!!
