Cuts and grazes are an inevitable part of childhood. ๐
Since having children who are constantly on the move, I donโt think Iโve ever used so many plastersโฆ even after nearly two decades of nursing! ๐
One thing Iโve learnt is that having a well-stocked, appropriate and easily accessible first aid kit makes such a difference when those inevitable bumps, cuts and scrapes happen. It means you can clean the wound, pop on a plaster, offer plenty of reassurance (and maybe a bravery sticker - my children will do almost anything for a sicker! ๐ฉนโญ), and get everyone back to enjoying the day.
Most minor cuts and grazes can be treated at home, but itโs just as important to know when a cut needs medical attention.
Swipe through for guidance on caring for cuts and bleeds, and remember: if youโre ever unsure, seek medical advice. Healthcare professionals would always rather assess a child and find thereโs nothing to worry about than miss something that needs treatment.
Our travel-size Mini First Aid Kit is one of those things I never leave home without. Itโs packed with essentials including cleansing wipes, plasters, bandages and some brilliant bravery stickers - perfect for adventures, holidays and everyday outings and can be purchased below. ๐
