If you feel scattered, overwhelmed, or like the ground is slightly moving under you, this little top tip takes five minutes.
β¨οΈ Feet on the floor.
Bare feet if you can, even better if you can get outside on the grass. If neither is possible, feet flat on the floor, shoes off.
β¨οΈ Take three slow breaths.
In through your nose, out through your mouth.
β¨οΈ On each exhale, imagine a root growing down from the base of your spine, through the floor, through the building, all the way down into the earth.
Honestly. That's it. Genuinely π
Grounding sounds too simple to matter. And then you do it and your shoulders drop three inches and you remember that you have a body and the body is always, always the way back to yourself.
Your nervous system needs you to slow down before it will let you move forward.
Give it a minute. Allow it the space.
