We provide general nursing care, residential care, residential dementia care and have apartments for young physically disabled.

💃 **When the music's right, everybody's got a dance partner.** 💃

Janet showing us exactly how it's done, twirling around the dance floor with one of our wonderful residents to the sound of "Why Do I Have to Be a Stranger in Love" — and honestly, this might be the sweetest moment we've caught on camera yet. 🎶💙

No stage, no rehearsal, just good music, good company, and a whole lot of heart. This is what a day at Vicarage Court can look like — and it's exactly why we say it time and time again: we are not a boring home.

Moments like these are what make Vicarage Court feel like family. 🥰

Tomorrow's Summer Fair preparations are officially underway, and Janet has donned her apron and taken command of the kitchen — quiches and buns beware! Joined by the ever-reliable Kath, the two have been hard at work making sure tomorrow's fair is as delicious as it is fun.

If the smell coming from our kitchen today is anything to go by, we reckon these quiches deserve their own award category. Bake Off, take note. 🏆🥧

AND SHAKE IT ALL ABOUT!** 🙌

Today's workout of choice at Vicarage Court? Armchair aerobics to the timeless classic — the Hokey Cokey! Our residents brought the energy, the enthusiasm, and (most importantly) the arm technique, proving that you don't need a gym membership when you've got a comfy chair and a good tune. 😂

Left leg in, left leg out, and a whole lot of laughter about — that's what it's all about, really, isn't it? 🎶

Who needs a personal trainer when you've got this level of commitment? Vicarage Court's fitness class officially has more rhythm than most nightclubs. 💃🕺

🎶 **"Sweet Caroline"... BUM BUM BUM!** 🎶

If there's one song that turns any gathering into a full-blown singalong, it's this one — and out on our two acres of gardens, Vicarage Court was no exception! Staff, residents, and (we're pretty sure) a few of the garden birds all joined in for what can only be described as the most emotionally committed performance of "Sweet Caroline" you'll see this year. 😂🎤

Arms were waving, hands were touching hands (reaching out, touching me, touching you — you know how it goes), and for three glorious minutes, absolutely everybody was a professional backing singer, right there on the patio in the summer air.

Twenty years of Vicarage Court being part of the Calsacare family, and if this video proves anything, it's that good times never seemed so good. 💙🎉

🎸 **Ladies and gentlemen... ELECTRIC GUITARS AND ZIMMER FRAMES!** 🎸

Move over Slash, we've got our own guitar heroes at Vicarage Court — and this time, the dance floor comes with wheels. 😂 Our residents proved that you're never too young (or too seasoned!) to rock out, taking to the dance floor with their trusty Zimmer frames and showing our staff exactly how it's done.

Turns out, four wheels and a bit of rhythm is all you need for a proper dance routine. Some spins, some twirls, and a whole lot of joy — this is what we call "mobility aid choreography," and frankly, we think it deserves its own category at the BRIT Awards. 🏆

At Vicarage Court, age is just a number, guitars are always welcome, and Zimmer frames officially double as dance partners. Who needs Strictly when you've got this?! 💃🧓🎶

🚨 BREAKING: Vicarage Court staff attempt Dirty Dancing lift. Survivors report minor bruising, major giggles. 🚨

Yes, you’re seeing this correctly. At our 20th birthday bash, our team decided the back patio was the perfect stage for a live recreation of that lift, to the actual song, sung by an actual live singer. Patrick Swayze, look away now. 🙈

Did it go perfectly? Absolutely not.
Did everyone survive? Absolutely, yes.
Was it hilarious? 100%.

Because here’s the thing — at Vicarage Court, we don’t do “quiet corner, cup of tea, early night” care homes (well, we do that too, if you fancy it). But we ALSO do dodgy dance moves, questionable choreography, and staff who are willing to make complete fools of themselves for a laugh.

20 years in and we’re still convinced laughter is the best medicine — closely followed by actual medicine, obviously. 😉
