Why not take that first step 🚶‍♀️and join our Fabulous Friday Walkers 🚶‍♂️🚶‍♀️🚶‍♂️this week in beautiful Pontefract Park 🌸🌿🦆🌳🌼🌷

We head out for a leisurely stroll 🚶‍♀️🚶‍♂️around the racecourse at a pace to suit all, no one is ever left behind or alone ❤️ There is always plenty of chatter and lots of laughs 🤣

🤗 All are welcome including children and friendly fur babies 🐕. Newcomers are always welcome and it is 💯 free.

We meet at 9.30am outside Huggamug at the pavilion behind the racecourse.

Thursday is just around the corner 👀 and the weather is looking a little bit cooler this week 🤞🏻

All our meets are no pressure, we don’t care whether it is your 500th run or your 1st run just turn up at whatever level you are at and you will be welcomed. Whether you just want to meet some new people, take up a new hobby, train for a race or simply be outside for an hour 🌳 ⛅️

No, it was just 2 birds stood funny 🫡 👀🤣

Never a dull moment on our walks; chats, exploring, connection and chuckles. It helps when the weather’s nice 🌞 but it’s always a great way to spend an hour anyway 💯

Starting the week off on the right foot is always a bonus, and with this crew is a guaranteed success.

If you’ve been watching us for a while and worried about keeping pace or coming to your first walk, don’t, you will be greeted by our lovely members and no one is left behind. You’ll be sure to leave with a new friendship group.

It was another beautiful morning 😎 for our Fabulous Friday Walkers 🚶‍♂️🚶‍♀️🚶‍♂️ on their stroll around beautiful Pontefract Park 🌳🌿🌸

The sun 🌞 was out, the cool breeze soon warmed up and we all felt better for our morning walk and natter.

Buttercups 🏵🏵🏵 were the theme this week - there were plenty to see and the young ones amongst us were told a rhyme and shown putting one under their chin!

Last night’s run was a warm one 🥵☀️

After looking at the planned route, we made the decision to adapt and change things to suit the group better and that’s exactly what community running is all about. Listening, supporting each other and making sure everybody enjoys the session safely.

Despite the heat, there were still plenty of smiles, conversations and miles shared together 👏🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

No matter your pace or experience, it’s always about turning up, getting moving and enjoying good company along the way.
