You might notice a tew Jellycats around when you visit us. That's because we simply adore them. They're soft, comforting, a little bit whimsical, and they bring a gentle sense of warmth and happiness into the space.

Sometimes it's the smallest, cosiest touches that help create a calm, welcoming environment, and if they raise a smile along the way, even better! 🪼😻

More and more people are turning to monthly therapy sessions, and it’s not just for when things feel overwhelming.

Think of it like a regular check-in for your mind. Just as you’d look after your physical health, therapy gives you space to maintain your mental and emotional wellbeing too.

✨ Why people are choosing monthly therapy:
• A consistent space to talk things through without judgment
• Better self-awareness and understanding of patterns
• Tools to manage stress, anxiety, and everyday challenges
• Improved relationships and communication
• A chance to pause, reflect, and reset each month

You don’t have to be in crisis to benefit. Sometimes, having that one hour a month to focus on yourself can make all the difference.

Looking after your mental health isn’t a luxury, it’s part of living well!

Happy Mother’s Day from the hearts behind our counselling space 🤍

Today we’re celebrating the mothers behind our business here in Pontefract, proudly supporting families across West Yorkshire.

Being a mum is one of the most rewarding, and most emotionally demanding roles there is. It asks for patience, resilience, strength and endless love… often all before 9am!

As counsellors and as mothers, we understand the invisible load, the quiet worries, the guilt, the joy, and everything in between. Today we honour every version of motherhood, the thriving, the surviving, the grieving, the hoping.

To every mum doing her best (even on the hard days), we see you. 💛

This International Women’s Day, we’re proud to stand alongside the incredible women in our community here in Pontefract, and across West Yorkshire. 💜

Meet Jodie, counsellor and partner at Mind Matters Counselling, and a passionate advocate for helping women find their voice, rebuild confidence and step into their worth.

This year’s theme, , is a reminder that when we lift each other up, share knowledge, offer support and create safe spaces, we all grow stronger. In the therapy room, that’s what we see every day: women giving themselves permission to heal… and gaining strength they didn’t realise they had.
