We are pleased to announce we have updated our online sick note and medication review forms. This will now email you once your request is complete and let you know if it’s been accepted or declined. If you are unable to complete the form, you can also still request sick notes via telephone or have an appointment with a GP/pharmacist for a medication review.

Patient activity in April 2026

Number of calls answered in 2 minutes, relates to how quickly we answer the phone once you are position number 1 in the que.

As you can see we answer 95% of calls within 2 minutes.

‘📞 Changes to our phone system – from 27 April

Following patient feedback, we will be introducing new telephone options from Monday 27 April.
These changes are designed to help reduce the 8:30am phone rush and make it easier for patients to reach the right service at the right time.
When you call, please listen carefully to the options before selecting.
Thank you for your patience as we make these improvements.’

The changes will look like the following –

When you call from now on there will be 4 options to chose from. Please find the call menu options being introduced below:

Option 1 - Appointments:

Next options for Option 1:

For urgent medical problems that need help today, press 1

For routine appointments, including nursing appointments, press 2 – Lines open 10am – (for calls before 10am)

To Cancel an appointment, press 3

Option 2 – For Test Results, please allow the 1 week for your results to be reviewed before calling

Option 3 – For Prescribing Queries

Option 4 – For Reception & General Enquiries

Once our system has been updated, please feel free to message us, or let reception know if you notice any issues with the system, or have any ideas on how to improve it further

System Migration Update

We’re pleased to let you know that our recent system migration has been successfully completed.

We would like to sincerely thank all of our patients for your patience and understanding during this transition period. Your support has been greatly appreciated by the whole team.

As we continue to familiarise ourselves with the new system, there may occasionally be slight delays while staff learn and adapt to the new processes. We kindly ask for your continued patience and understanding during this time.

***Important Information about system downtime, between the 12th to the 19th of February 2026***

The practice will be switching to a new clinical system on the 19th of February 2026. This has been made mandatory by the health board, and has affected all practices in Wales over the last year.

As a result, we will not be able to access any aspect of your medical records from 12 noon on 12th February 2026.
This means that we will be running at a significantly reduced service and will have the capacity to deal with urgent matters only.

Our NHS App will also be unavailable Wednesday 11th February and back up on Wednesday 18th February 2026.

Prescription Requests

If your repeat medication is due during this time, we ask that you put your request in week commencing 26 January 2026. If you do have enough medication to last you, please order on the 23rd of February 2026.

Please note we will not be able to access your notes and issue routine repeat medication during this time.
Ahead of the system downtime we will be issuing double prescriptions for eligible patients in the month of January and February.

Appointments

We will be operating an on the day Emergency only surgery during these dates.
Please be aware we will not be able to access your clinical record for the test results, therapy or medical history during the period of 12th to 19th February.
Please be patient with us as this transition will cause extra upheaval for all staff and patients, and we apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

Please contact the surgery if you are taken ill during this downtime in the normal manner. Alternatively, please use your local pharmacy or ring 111 for advice.
