We are now live with the EPS!

This means we are reducing our paper usage, and making sending prescriptions more efficient. We can now send to any local pharmacy.

This is a system you must opt into. If you would prefer to stick to paper scripts, then there is nothing for you to do. If you would like to opt in, then please let us know when requesting your medications.

Reminder: Electronic Prescribing Service (EPS) Launch

We will be introducing the Electronic Prescribing Service (EPS) from 17 September 2026.

From this date, prescriptions issued by the practice will be sent electronically via the NHS system rather than printed on paper. Your nominated pharmacy will be able to securely download your prescription directly for dispensing.

To ensure your prescriptions are sent to the correct pharmacy, please nominate your preferred pharmacy before this date. You can do this by contacting your chosen pharmacy and asking them to set themselves as your nominated pharmacy, or by informing the practice.

If you do not have a nominated pharmacy, your prescription will remain available on the NHS electronic system until a pharmacy is selected and downloads it for dispensing.

In a few weeks time we will be going live with Electronic Prescriptions (EPS). Our current go live date is the 17th of September 2026.

To take advantage of this service, speak with the staff in your regular pharmacy who will be able to assist you 'nominate' them for your electronic prescription.

The service will mean your prescriptions will be securely sent to the nominated pharmacy, and paper copies will no longer need to be printed or collected, resulting in a faster and more secure service.

We are pleased to announce we have updated our online sick note and medication review forms. This will now email you once your request is complete and let you know if it’s been accepted or declined. If you are unable to complete the form, you can also still request sick notes via telephone or have an appointment with a GP/pharmacist for a medication review.

Patient activity in April 2026

Please find our practice activity for throughout April 2026. We'll be publishing this information regularly, to provide accurate updates on all of the work we are currently undertaking at the practice.
Number of calls answered in 2 minutes, relates to how quickly we answer the phone once you are position number 1 in the que.

As you can see we answer 95% of calls within 2 minutes.

‘📞 Changes to our phone system – from 27 April

Following patient feedback, we will be introducing new telephone options from Monday 27 April.
These changes are designed to help reduce the 8:30am phone rush and make it easier for patients to reach the right service at the right time.
When you call, please listen carefully to the options before selecting.
Thank you for your patience as we make these improvements.’

The changes will look like the following –

When you call from now on there will be 4 options to chose from. Please find the call menu options being introduced below:

Option 1 - Appointments:

For urgent medical problems that need help today, press 1

For routine appointments, including nursing appointments, press 2 – Lines open 10am – (for calls before 10am)

To Cancel an appointment, press 3

Option 2 – For Test Results, please allow the 1 week for your results to be reviewed before calling

Option 3 – For Prescribing Queries

Option 4 – For Reception & General Enquiries

Once our system has been updated, please feel free to message us, or let reception know if you notice any issues with the system, or have any ideas on how to improve it further
