Saturday Thoughts 💭

When did conversations about movement become a competition?

Why do we feel the need to prove how much we train?

And why should someone who doesn’t exercise feel like they are somehow less than because of it?

Some women lift weights.
Some run.
Some do Pilates.
Some walk their dog.
Some dance.
Some swim.
Some are recovering from an injury.
Some simply don’t enjoy exercise.
And some have completely different priorities in their lives.

All of that is okay.

Exercise can be an incredible thing. It can make us stronger, healthier and happier. Some people just simply don’t enjoy it —and it should never become a way of judging another woman.

You don’t get extra points for doing more.

You don’t become a better person because you train harder.

And you certainly shouldn’t make anyone feel uncomfortable because her lifestyle looks different to yours.

Let’s stop competing over who is the busiest, strongest, leanest, most disciplined or most active.

Because women should feel empowered in a room full of other women — not like they have to prove they belong there.

Move because you love your body.

Move because it makes you feel good.

Move because you enjoy it.

But never make another woman feel bad because she moves differently. ❤️

THOUGHTFUL THURSDAY 🤍

Today, take a moment to pause.

Not everything has to be bigger, better, faster or further ahead.

Sometimes, there is so much more in simply recognising where you are right now.

Be thankful for the quiet moments.
For the people who bring you peace.
For the lessons that made you stronger.
For the opportunities you once wished for that are now part of your everyday life.
And even for the difficult chapters — because they often teach us things comfort never could.

✨ so- instead of asking “What am I still missing?” we asked “What do I already have that I once wished ?”

So today, slow down. Breathe. Look around.

There is probably more to be thankful for than you realise. 🤍

Wellness Wednesday

Finding Inner Peace 🤍

Sometimes inner peace isn’t found by doing more.

It’s found in the moments when you slow down.
When you stop rushing.
When you allow yourself to sit in the quiet without needing to fill it.

Peace can look like a quiet morning, a walk without your phone, a deep breath, a cup of tea, or simply giving yourself permission to be still.

You don’t always need to have everything figured out.
You don’t need to respond to everything.
You don’t need to carry everything.

Sometimes the most powerful thing you can do is become still enough to hear yourself again.

Protect your peace. Choose calm. Make space for quiet. 🌿

Because a peaceful mind is one of the greatest forms of self-care. 🤍

It’s taken a while, but I’m finding mine after so so long 🩷

💧 YOU DON’T HAVE TO BE BLOATED OR HOLDING WATER TO BENEFIT FROM MLD

When people hear Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD), they often think of bloating, puffiness or water retention.

But MLD isn’t only about reducing fluid.

Your lymphatic system is working every single day — helping to move excess fluid, proteins and cellular waste from your tissues and supporting your immune system.

So even when you don’t feel bloated or particularly “puffy”, there can still be benefits to giving your body some gentle support. 🤍

✨ RELAXATION & NERVOUS SYSTEM SUPPORT

MLD uses incredibly light, rhythmic movements which many people find deeply calming.

It can provide a wonderful opportunity to slow down, switch off and give your body a break from the constant stimulation of everyday life.

✨ SUPPORTING NORMAL FLUID MOVEMENT

You don’t have to visibly retain water for your lymphatic system to be doing its job.

MLD can gently encourage lymph flow and support the body’s normal fluid circulation.

✨ A FEELING OF LIGHTNESS

Many clients describe feeling lighter, less “heavy” or simply more comfortable in their body after a treatment — even when they didn’t have noticeable swelling beforehand.

✨ SUPPORTING RECOVERY

Because lymphatic circulation is involved in clearing fluid and cellular by-products from tissues, MLD can be a lovely addition to a recovery-focused wellbeing routine.

✨ TIME TO PAUSE

And perhaps one of the biggest benefits…

You get to stop.

No rushing.
No phone.
No to-do list.
Just 60 minutes dedicated to you and your wellbeing. 🤍

MLD isn’t something you need to have a “problem” to benefit from.

Sometimes it’s simply about supporting your body, calming your mind and making time for yourself.

Your body doesn’t always need fixing.

Sometimes it just deserves a little care. 🌿

💧 WHY DO WE BLOAT — AND WHY DO SOME PEOPLE FEEL IT MORE THAN OTHERS?

Bloating is incredibly common, but it doesn’t affect everyone in the same way.

Some people can eat a large meal and feel completely comfortable, while others can feel swollen, tight and uncomfortable after much less.

So… why?

✨ What can cause bloating?

Bloating can be influenced by lots of different things, including:

• Eating quickly or swallowing excess air
• Certain foods and food intolerances
• Constipation and slower bowel movements
• Hormonal fluctuations
• Stress and changes in cortisol
• High salt intake
• Increased carbohydrate intake, which naturally increases water storage
• Dehydration
• Sitting or standing for long periods
• Changes in your normal routine
• Menstrual cycle fluctuations

And sometimes, there isn’t one obvious cause.

💧 WHY ARE SOME PEOPLE MORE SENSITIVE?

Everyone’s digestive system, fluid balance and lymphatic system work slightly differently.

Some people naturally retain more fluid, have slower lymphatic drainage, experience more hormonal fluctuations, or simply notice changes in their abdomen more easily.

That doesn’t necessarily mean anything is “wrong” — your body may just be more sensitive to changes in fluid and digestion.

🌿 SO WHERE DOES MANUAL LYMPHATIC DRAINAGE COME IN?

Manual lymphatic drainage (MLD) uses very gentle, rhythmic movements designed to encourage the movement of lymphatic fluid through the body’s lymphatic pathways.

This can help support the body’s natural fluid circulation and may be particularly beneficial when you feel puffy, heavy or fluid-retained.

Some clients notice their abdomen feels softer and less uncomfortable after treatment, while others notice a temporary reduction in that “full” or swollen feeling.

It’s important to remember that MLD doesn’t remove body fat or treat the underlying cause of digestive bloating.

Instead, think of it as supporting your body’s natural fluid movement — helping you feel lighter, less puffy and more comfortable. 🤍

✨ Your body doesn’t need to be “fixed.” Sometimes it simply needs a little support.

If you’re someone who regularly feels bloated, puffy or like you’re holding onto fluid, MLD could be a lovely addition to your self-care routine.

It helps me a lot! And I definitely feel more comfortable and less “swollen” afterwards.

Good Morning Lovelies 👋

That saying
“It’s ok - to not be ok”

We’ve all heard this a lot. And it’s great, it tells us that it is acceptable, you are not alone, and you don’t have to “be ok” all the time.

But, this saying hit totally different for me when I heard it again this week. Totally different, and I saw it in a different light, maybe an angry light that this saying is just brushing off mental health.

Because yes, whilst it is ok to not be ok, it’s absolutely not ok to not do something about it and seek help.
You should not have to suffer, you should not have to “accept” that’s ok. You should not have to just live with this and think - ahh it’s ok, I’m not ok but it’s ok. The saying says so.

No ✋🏼 this needs to stop. NOW.

What if someone is not ok, they’re in the darkest of pits, they have nobody around them to talk to. Yes they have friends, but they can’t sort the problems out really.
What if that person feels nothing is going to better?
What if that persons cries for help - but when help arrives it’s too late?
What if the cry for help was taken too far? And now it’s too late?

Please 🙏 let’s stop accepting this and just riding the motions.

Please 🙏 let’s start saying “I’m not ok, but with help I will be”.

Don’t just accept that mental health issues are living in the minds of the vast majority of people.

You do not deserve to live in a dark tunnel, regardless of your background, history, reasons.
You absolutely do not.

Ask, talk, and listen.

To the world, you are one person.
But to one person, you are the world.
