πŸ“žπŸŒŸ A Huge Thank You to Our Port Isaac Practice/Bridge Medical Centre Teams! πŸŒŸπŸ“ž

We're incredibly proud of our latest telephone statistics, which highlight the dedication and hard work of our staff in helping patients access the care they need.

Over the reporting period:

βœ… 4,972 inbound calls were received
βœ… 3,489 calls were answered from the queue
βœ… 94% of queued calls were answered
βœ… Average waiting time for answered calls was just 2 minutes
βœ… Average call length was 2 minutes and 1 second

Our team also made an incredible effort reaching out to patients:

πŸ“ž 4,743 outbound calls attempted
πŸ“ž 4,182 outbound calls successfully connected (88.2%)
πŸ“ž Average outbound call time was 3 minutes and 3 seconds

Behind every one of these numbers is a member of staff taking the time to support a patient, answer a question, arrange an appointment, discuss results, organise prescriptions, or provide reassurance when it's needed most.

Our busiest periods show just how hard the team works during peak demand:

⏰ 10am–11am was the busiest time for incoming calls
⏰ 9am–10am was the busiest time for outgoing calls

Perhaps most impressively, despite handling such a high volume of calls, 94% of patients who joined the queue had their call answered, with an average wait of only 2 minutes. This is a fantastic achievement and reflects the commitment of our team to ensuring patients can access support quickly and efficiently.

πŸ‘ A heartfelt thank you to every member of staff. Your professionalism, patience and dedication make a real difference to patient care every single day. The thousands of conversations you have with our patients are often the first step in helping them get the support, treatment and advice they need.

Please join us in celebrating the amazing work of the Port Isaac Practice/Bridge Medical Centre teams! πŸ’™πŸ₯πŸ“ž

🌞 A Message for Our Wonderful Holiday Makers (and Everyone Else Melting in the Heat!) 🌞

We know you're hot. πŸ₯΅

The beaches are busy, the ice creams are disappearing at record speed, and you're wondering whether that niggling problem needs medical attention.

Please remember... our staff are hot too! β˜€οΈπŸ”₯

Whilst we'd all rather be cooling off with a Cornish ice cream, our team is working hard to help patients and visitors alike. A little kindness goes a long way, and we'd really appreciate it if everyone could leave the sun-induced grumpiness at the door.

😊 Please be polite and respectful to our staff. 🚫 Abusive, aggressive or rude behaviour will not be tolerated.

Before contacting the practice, please check our website or our handy Holiday Maker Leaflet, which contains answers to many of the questions we receive:

πŸ‘‰https://portisaacpractice.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/Holiday-maker-leaflet.pdf

Think of it as your holiday survival guide – almost as important as suncream, flip-flops and knowing where the nearest pasty shop is. πŸ–οΈπŸ₯Ÿ

Thank you for your patience, understanding and good humour while we continue caring for patients during one of the busiest times of the year.

πŸ’™ Be kind to our team – they're doing their best, even when the temperature feels hotter than a Cornish pasty fresh from the oven! πŸ’™
