The Help at Home team always has a glass half full mentality and we love them for it!

While snow often puts up barriers in social care, our care team have embraced the wintery weather, providing care all across Porthmadog, Criccieth and Penrhyn and they're doing it with a smile.

Introducing our new carers - Class of September 2025!

Our service wouldn't be possible without the talents, passion and experience of our carers, so we are delighted to be welcoming nine new carers to the Meddyg Care Help at Home team.

Our intensive induction equips those who will be supporting our clients every day with the skills and expectations needed to provide high-quality, person-centred care that everyone deserves.

This training ensures that they're prepared to improve the independence and quality of life for people living with dementia, and to provide the best possible care for those with additional support needs in their homes.

We're proud to have them on board as we continue to deliver compassionate, professional care to our community.

Our Help at Home service is growing and we have several full and part time positions available for carers, including those with a full UK driving licence and access to their own vehicle.
If you don't have your own vehicle, but do have a full driving licence, we can provide you with one of our pool cars.
If you're learning how to drive or want to pass your test, we can provide 10 free driving lessons. We can even give you priority booking when you're ready to take your test.
Previous care experience is preferable but not essential as full training will be given.
Our carers are paid a real living wage, up to £14.50 an hour, depending on experience and qualifications, and if they are using their own vehicle.
Based on a 40 hour week, you could earn over £30,000 a year. Overtime and flexible working are also available.
