It’s time to properly introduce the woman behind Madog Sba. 🤍

Meet Betsan.

A qualified nurse since 2004, Betsan has spent more than two decades caring for people through her work in the NHS. In 2019, that experience led her into aesthetics, eventually bringing her to one of her proudest milestones — opening Madog Sba in November 2024.

But there’s much more to Betsan than the clinic.

A farmer’s daughter from Trofarth, she now calls Talsarnau home and plays an active part in village life, from Goluo Talsarnau and the village hall to the community council — as well as somehow finding time to be a local landlady too!

Away from work, you’ll usually find her with Tecwyn 🐾, exercising with friends or spending time with the people who matter most to her.

Over the next few weeks, we’ll be introducing more of the people who make Madog Sba what it is.

Mae’n amser cyflwyno’r fenyw y tu ôl i Madog Sba yn iawn. 🤍

Dyma Betsan.

Wedi cymhwyso fel nyrs yn 2004, mae Betsan wedi treulio dros ugain mlynedd yn gofalu am bobl drwy ei gwaith gyda’r GIG. Yn 2019, arweiniodd y profiad hwnnw hi i faes estheteg, ac yn y pen draw at un o’i cherrig milltir mwyaf balch, sef agor Madog Sba ym mis Tachwedd 2024.

Ond mae llawer mwy i Betsan na’r clinig.

Yn ferch i ffermwr o Drofarth, mae hi bellach yn galw Talsarnau yn gartref ac yn chwarae rhan weithgar ym mywyd y pentref. Mae’n ymwneud â Goluo Talsarnau, Neuadd y Pentref a’r Cyngor Cymuned, ac rywsut mae hi hefyd yn dod o hyd i amser i fod yn dafarnwraig leol!

Pan nad yw hi’n gweithio, byddwch yn aml yn ei gweld hi gyda Tecwyn 🐾, yn cadw’n heini gyda ffrindiau neu’n treulio amser gyda’r bobl sydd bwysicaf iddi.
Dros yr wythnosau nesaf, byddwn yn cyflwyno mwy o’r bobl sy’n gwneud Madog Sba yr hyn ydyw.

Last year I challenged my self to Lose weight and managed to lose 6stone. This year I am challenging myself to get fitter and healthier.
On Thursday July 16th I will challenge myself to walk
from Trawsfynydd to Dolgellau, raising money for Cancer Research—a charity that holds a special place in my heart as a palliative care nurse.
This challenge is definitely out of my comfort zone however, I can’t wait to do it. Thanks to Megs Army Lisa Owen and Meirion for getting me fitter and in the mindset to do this challenge. We can do anything if we put our mind to it.

Madog Sba started with two best friends Leian Roberts and Betsan Emlyn. Last year, Leian had to step back to focus on her family and the challenges of raising her amazing child Twm with special needs. 😘

Tonight on S4C, she opens up about her journey and the ups and downs of motherhood and the support she struggles to have.

After 25 years of friendship, it's been a challenging to watch her go from a travel-loving adventurer to an incredible mom.
