The bits you don't see / know about me... π
π I was born in Leicester in 1980 and moved to Portland in 2014 and have never looked back!
π I have an art degree as well as everything else listed, for a very educated lady I can be a bit daft!!
π I can't count, I forget things really quickly, I've always been like it and am sure my young age is making it worse, so please remind me if I've forgotten, it's not done on purpose!
π I like singing & running.
π I don't drink alcohol.
π₯Ί I sometimes get overwhelmed and suffer depression. Since closing my studio in January my stress has reduced and I'm feeling a lot healthier for it, even though it was sad to do.
π I'm human just like you!
π₯ I'm an Operating Department Practitioner; a registered healthcare professional at DCH.
π₯ Scrubbing along surgeons or assisting anaesthetists with adult / child anaesthetic in theatres.
π₯ It can be challenging & tiring but most of all, it's rewarding; supporting patients through an anxiety provoking experience, being their advocate, their voice, holding hands when falling asleep.
π₯ Organising equipment, medication, working as part of a team to ensure patient centred care is provided throughout their operation.
π₯ Having surgical anatomy & physiology knowledge has assisted my fitness instruction, massage therapy knowledge and keeps me up to date on health & safety courses that benefit you and me!
πͺ I'm a Fitness Instructor at Osprey Leisure Centre, teaching Pump on Tuesdays 6 & 7pm Friday 9:30am. Spin Friday 7pm. Pump is very popular, you can book up to 7 days in advance.
πͺ Our fitness community gets together for a post pump sea dip, new friendships have been made through the love/hate relationship of fitness classes, to improve health & mental wellbeing together.
π€² I'm a Massage Therapist, operating out of Flair hair & beauty in Easton, it's so nice to be part of their team!
π€² I love seeing the positive effects massage has on clients. It's that little bit of self-care that goes a long way, whether it be reducing pain from injury or offering relaxation, a safe space to unwind.
π€² Thursday & Saturday appointments available.
π©ββ€οΈβπ©π Most importantly, I'm a mother of 4; 2 girls age 14 & 15 and 2 boys age 6 & 21, which I am dedicated to and are my main priority.
π©ββ€οΈβπ© My eldest daughter starts an sen school in Weymouth in September, I request your support during September & October while I settle her in (I'm hoping it won't effect any services, but please be mindful if unfortunately it does).
I enjoy being busy but sometimes I do need to step back, please understand and be patient.
Your support over the last few years has been very much appreciated, if you've had a break, you're welcome to join back in whenever you want, I will be there!
