CANCELLATION POLICY REMINDER

Unfortunately, I have had a lot of late cancellations and no-shows over the past couple of months.

Whilst I understand that we all have difficulties and circumstances can change, "I can't afford it this month" works both ways.
I'm a small self-employed business and I simply can't afford to repeatedly lose that income either.

So... PLEASE:

Only book an appointment if you're in a position to financially commit to it.

If circumstances change, please give me as much notice as possible.

Cancellation policy:
Less than 72 hours – 25%
Less than 48 hours – 50%
Less than 24 hours – 100%

Repeated late cancellations and no-shows may mean that future appointments need to be paid in full upfront at the time of booking.

I am always happy to be flexible and alter or move appointments where I can.
However, going forward I will be applying my cancellation fees more firmly and consistently. The recent cancellation frequency means I can no longer afford to be as lenient with them.

Thank you for your understanding xx

Osteopenia, Declining Bone Density & Calcium 🦴

I’m seeing more and more clients whose bone density is declining — despite supplementing calcium and vitamin D for years.

Calcium does not build bone on its own.
Bone is a collagen framework — calcium strengthens it only when it is absorbed and directed properly.
Here’s what often gets missed 👇

• Magnesium is essential ⚖️
Calcium and magnesium work as opposing partners. Without magnesium, calcium cannot be balanced or properly utilised. Magnesium is also required for proper vitamin D metabolism and activation.

• Form matters 🪨
The most common form handed out is calcium carbonate — a rock-based form that is often poorly absorbed and relies on adequate stomach acid for proper breakdown.

• Unused calcium doesn’t just disappear 🚫
If it isn’t absorbed and directed correctly, it may remain in the body and contribute to soft-tissue calcification instead of bone strength.

• Diet and delivery matter 🌿
Plant-based sources are generally easier to metabolise.

• Vitamin D3 moves calcium into blood and bone ☀️
It needs to be good quality (such as D3 in olive oil) and balanced with adequate, well-absorbed calcium.

Without the right co-factors — magnesium, D3, K2 and ALA — calcium can end up in the wrong places.

If bone density continues to decline, it may not be a simple calcium deficiency — it may reflect a problem with calcium absorption, balance or utilisation.

Top Tips 🦴
• Adequate magnesium ⚖️
• Choose the correct form of calcium — such as calcium orotate, citrate-malate or food-based sources (not carbonate) 🌿
• Balance with quality vitamin D3 in olive oil ☀️

Supplementing Collagen?

This has fast become the new trend –
Everyone seems to be taking it!

From experience in my practice, it generally tests negatively for clients.

So why?
I’ve been doing some research — here’s the simple breakdown:

🥉 Collagen – A Raw Protein
Collagen is broken-down animal protein.
Before your body can use it, it must be properly digested and absorbed.

HCL (stomach acid) and gut health play a major role.

Low hydrochloric acid / poor gut health may mean:
• Less efficient protein breakdown
• Reduced mineral absorption
• Suboptimal collagen utilisation

Collagen synthesis also depends on adequate levels of:
Vitamin C, zinc, copper, magnesium and silica
to actually build and organise connective tissue.

Without strong digestion and the right co-factors, results may be limited.

So, what are the alternatives?

#1 Gut Health is ALWAYS the key.

#2 🥇 Bio-Silica (Silicon) – Mineral
Helps the body organise and build collagen properly.
Supports skin elasticity, cartilage strength and connective tissue integrity.
Works at a structural level.
Very light on digestion.

#3🥈 Hyaluronic Acid – Hydration
Binds water.
Supports skin plumpness.
Lubricates joints and mucous membranes
Supports gut lining hydration.
Gentle on digestion.

In simple terms:
Silica = organises the structure
Hyaluronic acid = hydrates and cushions
Collagen = supplies raw material (works best when digestion and mineral status are strong)

*Adding supplements that aren’t truly needed can place unnecessary demand on the body, which is why testing first is always recommended.

I just want to say thank you to all of my clients — Scilly and Mainland.

Kinesiology has really taken off lately, and I’m genuinely grateful for the trust you place in me.

I’m also LOVING the Hair Analysis / Health Insight write-ups. They take time, but every single one teaches me something new — sharpening how I work and deepening my understanding.

I love my job.
And I really love my life in general right now!

It’s my first weekend at home in a month, and I’m looking forward to just being here
If I dont respond or I seem 'quiet', that’s why.

I’m switching off.
No plans.
No alarms.
Just enjoying being home.

Still battling a cold or flu that just won’t shift?

This relentless damp weather is leaving a lot of people stuck in that lingering, run-down phase.

When symptoms drag on for more than a week, your body may need a little help to fully bounce back.

A focused 45-minute bodywork session, aimed at boosting your immune system, can shift stagnation and help your body get back on top.

What are the MerIdians?
How do they link to your health?

Meridians are rivers of energy, or electrical currents, within your body.
Each meridian is linked with an organ and associated muscles.

If there is stagnation or blockage within a meridian, or a weakness or hypertonicity in its associated muscle, the organ can become stressed and symptoms of illness and disease begin to show.

It is important that we clear these blockages and maintain free flow to prevent illness, disease, and eventually even cancers.

Think of a meridian as a free-flowing, crystal-clear fresh stream of water.
When parts of the stream become congested with leaves or debris, the water becomes stagnant and sludgy and beyond that point, the water doesnt flow well.
When we remove the blockage, the water is able to free-flow again, gain momentum, and clear itself.
This is exactly how meridian flow works.

Short presentation of the 12 main meridians in acupuncture.

Are you suffering from ongoing ailments or conditions, even after trying medications and seeing medical specialists?
Taking medication after medication, but still not feeling any better?

While medications are generally designed to suppress symptoms, Kinesiology looks at the body as a whole, addressing the root cause and underlying imbalances.
A 'symptom' is your body’s way of telling you that something is wrong and it needs help to rebalance.

Through muscle testing, your body can reveal what it truly needs for healing and recovery!
