I had to copy and paste this from Ian Watson as I couldn’t share …….
When your healing journey feels increasingly like an uphill struggle, it's no longer healing.
It's wonderful to discover that there's a whole world of alternative therapies and self-help modalities out there when you're no longer finding the answers you seek from mainstream medicine.
But have you noticed how one thing tends to lead to another.....? They call it 'mission creep'. Before you know it, your daily health regimen has taken over your entire life.
You read all the labels. Avoid the sugar. And the carbs. Switch to the oat milk decaf. Buy organic & unprocessed. Ditch the seed oils and the suncream. Do the fasting. And the juicing. And the bone broth. And the kangen water. And the heavy metal detox. Get your hair tested for mineral deficiencies. Take the supplements. And the herbs. Do the DNA test. Try homeopathy. Become a homeopath! Work on your childhood trauma. Do the tapping. And the muscle testing. And the affirmations. Avoid the EMFs. And the hormone disruptors. Do the shadow work. Microdose some mushrooms. Do ayahuasca. Don't forget to meditate. And do your 10000 steps. Do the heavy breathing. And the ice baths. Biohack everything. Stay calm. Avoid the news. Manage your stress.....
Until one day you wake up tired and a little perplexed, and you wonder..... 'how is it possible that I'm doing all the right things and I still have these symptoms and I still don't feel how I'd like to be feeling?'
And that, dear friend, is when you open the door to another possibility. You stop trying so hard and you start listening. Not to the 'health experts' but to your own inner knowing. You stop managing and pushing, and you start allowing.
And little by little, ever so gently, you do less and less of what you think you should be doing. And more and more of what you genuinely feel like doing.
And lo and behold, healing happens.
All by itself.
