Supported Living And Home care

Location: Community-based (visiting clients in their own homes) Portsmouth , Hampshire & Surrounding Areas

Job Type: Part-Time & Full Time
Pay: £13.00/hour (Drivers) | £12.71/hour (Non-Drivers)
Shifts Available: Monday to Sunday (Flexible hours)
Work Setting: Homecare / Community care (on the road)

We’re looking for kind, compassionate, and dedicated part-time carers to join our award-winning team at QualitCare 24-7.
If you’re a people-person who thrives on helping others and can remain calm and reliable in a fast-paced environment — we would love to hear from you!

We are particularly interested in drivers with access to their own vehicle.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Supporting clients with all aspects of personal care including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
Building positive relationships and providing emotional support.
Administering or prompting medication, assisting with prescriptions.
Helping clients with meals, hydration, and light domestic tasks.
Using equipment such as hoists or walking aids safely and respectfully.
Supporting clients with hospital appointments, end-of-life care, and communicating with family or health professionals when needed.

What We’re Looking For:

Previous experience in care (preferred )
A positive, can-do attitude and willingness to learn
Strong communication skills in English (spoken and written)
Completed Moving & Handling training (or willing to undertake)
Enhanced DBS check and right to work in the UK
Valid photo ID (e.g. Passport , EVISA) and proof of address
Two references, including one from a previous employer
Please note: We are not able to offer visa sponsorships or COS transfers for this role.

With the current heatwave, please take extra care of yourselves and the people we support. High temperatures can increase the risk of dehydration, heat exhaustion, and heatstroke.
Please remember to:
💧 Drink plenty of water throughout your shift.
🧴 Apply sunscreen if working outdoors.
👒 Wear light, breathable clothing where appropriate.
🌳 Stay in shaded or cool areas whenever possible.
🏠 Keep service users' living areas well-ventilated and comfortably cool.
🥤 Encourage and support service users to drink fluids regularly.
👀 Be alert for signs of heat-related illness, including dizziness, headaches, confusion, excessive sweating, or fatigue.
📞 Report any concerns about a service user's health or wellbeing immediately.
Your safety and the wellbeing of those we support are our priority. Please take sensible precautions and look after one another during this period of hot weather.
