Our new members Docbike Hampshire .
They will be worked hard as the team deliver CPR and AED training at our Nextgen courses. Skills we hope never to use, but being prepared does help.

We're delighted to share that Police and Crime Commissioner Donna Jones for Mayor has awarded our DocBike Hampshire branch £20,000 to expand our work supporting local motorcyclists 🙌

A huge thank you to Donna and her team, this funding means we can reach even more riders with skills that genuinely save lives.

The funding will help us deliver:

🚨 FREE NextGen courses
🚨 Rider training
🚨 Casualty care skills
🚨 Bike maintenance
🚨 Engagement at biker events

Designed for riders aged 17 to 35, our NextGen courses cover everything from roadside first aid and bike skills to rider awareness, security and maintenance. Every participant also receives a free bike D-lock and first aid kit 🔒🩹

And if you're over 35, you're still very much welcome to join us on the course. All riders with a valid licence (from CBT to full A) and a roadworthy bike are welcome! 🙌

David's Dash is a charity founded in memory of David, a biker, a son, a friend; to support people affected by su***de. His mum Alison set it up after losing him, and has been building something really special ever since ❤.

For nearly a year, their monthly biker breakfast has been bringing riders and the local community together, supported by the incredible Mental Health Motorbike () team and the Christian Motorcyclists Association. It's a space where people can show up, have a brew, and not have to explain themselves.

On 18th July, in partnership with Shirley Warren Action Church, it's going bigger! A summer fair, live music, community organisations coming together, and the kind of morning that reminds you what this community is capable of when it shows up for each other 💙
Everyone is welcome. You don't have to be a biker. You don't have to be struggling. You just have to show up.

If you or someone you know is struggling, please know that you don't have to face it alone💙

Medical Equipment on the DocBike.
Space is at a premium on the motorcycle, so equipment has to be chosen wisely. Monitoring also has to be compact, vibration resistant and waterproof. This equipment, small enough to fit on a motorcycle yet robust enough to withstand significant vibrations is expensive. It costs approximately £50,000 to put a DocBike into an area.
The bike is equipped to allow the clinician to deliver safe and effective care when first on scene of an incident; but very quickly, the clinician will form part of the wider emergency response to the incident, just as if he or she had arrived by ambulance or helicopter as part of their day to day job. Again, all equipment and its use is governed through the same local processes as when responding to an incident as part of their day-to-day job

Well, that’s a wrap on this year’s Wallop’s Wheels and Wings😍 From historic aircraft and classic/super cars, to motorcycle parades and air displays - it was a brilliant day for all of us who attended from DocBike Hampshire’s regional team 🙌 Thank you to the Army Flying Museum for having us, we loved every moment!
