👋 A little info on otitis media, also known as a middle ear infection.
If your ear feels full, painful, or your hearing’s gone a bit “underwater”… this one’s for you.🎧 What actually happens?
The middle ear fills with fluid behind the eardrum — sometimes infected, sometimes just inflamed — and that pressure causes the pain.🧒 Kids get it more because their Eustachian tubes are tiny and still developing.
Adults aren’t off the hook though… especially during colds, allergies, or after a viral bug.🔥 Symptoms to watch for:Ear painMuffled hearingFeeling blockedFever (sometimes)Irritability in little ones💊 Treatment:
Most cases clear on their own, but pain relief, keeping hydrated, and seeing your GP if symptoms persist is key.
If it’s bacterial, antibiotics may be needed.👂 And remember:
