It’s never too early to prepare for Halloween 🎃

Our pumpkins are coming along nicely.

But the question is, will be carve them? Will we make pumpkin pie? Or will we make pumpkin soup? 🥣 🥧 🎃

Our runner beans are growing very well , if we don’t say so ourselves. 🤩🤩

Home grown vegetables taste so much better, especially when they’ve been loved and cared for in your own garden. 🪏

Last week’s baking club had us mixing up the oats and creating a delicious flapjack 🤩🤩

I wonder what delights this week’s baking club will bring.

Who said Granny Pants can’t be fun 😉

An afternoon of donning the granny pants and having balls chucked at you, the well-being team & one of our residents happily obliged to being in the firing line.

Of course we had to get over the laughter of seeing them wearing the granny pants before we could start the game. 🤣

Some of you may remember that we took part in a study a couple of years ago, whereby we trialled the use of air filter systems to prevent some infections. We were delighted to have been picked to take part in this study and assist with reporting our findings.

We have now been shared the final results, and it has been found that air filters have no impact on the prevention of infections such as winter coughs, colds, flu & the like.

Sometimes you just have to take meetings Al Fresco
There may be a slight breeze today, but being outside in the fresh air, with the sun on you, helps you to focus and evaluate what needs to be done. ✅ ☀️

Residents have enjoyed being outside, albeit for short periods of time today. Blowing away the cobwebs and enjoying the grounds. 🕸️

Crafty letter bracelets - Keeping our fingers and thumbs moving and our eyes sharp. (Some with a little help from their friends).

Followed by some hand eye coordination testing, with our hoop ball game. 🥎

Sometimes training our hands, eyes and brain can be fun. 🧠 Keeping ourselves active and engaged.
