The knock came again.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
Everyone in the room exchanged nervous glances.
"Don't open it," the old man warned.
But before anyone could move, a voice spoke from outside.
"Chinedu... I know what is hidden beneath your house."
Chinedu's heart skipped.
How could a stranger know about the message on the map?
Slowly, he walked to the door and peered through a crack.
Standing outside was a young woman holding an old photograph.
In the picture were Chinedu's father... and a little girl.
"I've been searching for you," she said.
Before Chinedu could reply, the pendant around his neck suddenly glowed red.
Then the floor beneath the house shook violently.
A deep rumbling echoed from below.
Something buried under the heir's house was waking up.
And it had waited years for Chinedu's return.
