Pastor ChiBest was a preacher with a church full of miracle seekers. Every Sunday, he told them, “Do not go to the hospital when you are sick. Pray to God, and your faith will heal you.”

One day, Mama Ada developed severe chest pain. Remembering Pastor ChiBest’s teaching, she stayed home and prayed instead of seeking care. Her condition worsened overnight. Her children panicked and rushed her to the hospital. Doctors discovered a condition and treated her immediately. Thankfully, Mama Ada survived.

When Pastor ChiBest heard the news, he blamed her, saying, “Maybe her faith was not strong enough.”

An in the congregation challenged him. “Pastor, that is a dangerous misconception. Faith does not mean rejecting doctors or medicine. God can heal people through prayer, but medical treatment can also save lives.”

The explained that sickness is not always caused by demons or weak faith. Some illnesses require medicine, surgery, or urgent medical attention.

The congregation realized the truth. Pastor ChiBest apologized and changed his message.

From then on, he taught, “Pray for healing, but seek medical care when necessary. Faith and medicine can work together.”

He warned everyone never to let religious advice prevent medical treatment.
