South Coast Counselling

South Coast Counselling Welcome to south coast counselling, a confidential and professional counselling service.

Taking the first step can be a difficult and daunting experience, especially when there seems to be a stigma attached to counselling. This is a misunderstanding that it is just for people with severe mental health illness. There are many different levels of mental health needs, as we are individual and one therapy does not fit all. I combine different counselling styles in order to be flexible and

provide you with specific, individual counselling to suite your needs and to move you forward from where you are now to where you would like to be. I have experience with working with children, young people and adults within the educational environment, private practice, groups and NHS IAPT. Counselling can be a short or long term intervention and can help with exploring your thoughts and feelings in a confidential safe space. I can offer personalised counselling and support for Anxiety, stress, Depression, Relationships, work-life stress, organisation difficulties or enhancing confidence and self worth to overcome barriers or obstacles that obstruct day to day life.

🔸Midweek check-in 🔸

You’re halfway through the week, take a moment to pause, breathe, and recognise how far you’ve come.

It’s okay if things haven’t gone perfectly; what matters is that you’re still moving forward, one step at a time.

Keep going gently, and remember to make space for rest as well as progress.

As the week comes to a close, it’s a good moment to pause and check in with yourself.

Weeks can feel full, tiring, or uneven and that’s completely normal. Not every week will feel productive in the way we expect, but every week still matters.

If your mood has felt low at times this week, try not to judge it.

Instead, notice what helped you get through, even in small ways. Sometimes just getting through the week is enough.

💭 : As this week ends, ask yourself-what is one thing you did, big or small that supported you or helped you cope?

Alongside your to-do list, consider what you need to support your wellbeing this week. Small actions can make a big difference.

💭 : What is one thing you can do this week to look after your wellbeing while managing work pressures?

Healthy relationships aren't built on mind-reading, they're built on communication.

Listening with curiosity, speaking with honesty, and responding with respect can strengthen connections and reduce misunderstandings.

Managing work pressures starts with recognising that you can't do everything at once.

Prioritise tasks, set boundaries where needed, and remember that taking care of yourself is part of doing your job well, not separate from it.

Overthinking often keeps us stuck in problems that haven't happened.

Sometimes the kindest thing we can do for ourselves is focus on what we know, what we can control, and what is happening right now.

06/06/2026

Sometimes the most important item on the to-do list is simply to pause and recharge. Happy weekend everyone.
