Happy Birthday, Amy! 🎉

This week we’re celebrating Amy from our Care Team.

Many of our care staff work behind the scenes to make sure people receive the support they need, but some of you may have spoken to Amy recently in a different capacity. Over the past few months, she has been lending her skills to support our Employee Relations team with an audit, helping out wherever needed and demonstrating the teamwork that makes Kinect such a great place to work.

We’d like to wish Amy a very happy birthday and thank her for all the hard work, flexibility and support she brings to the business.

The Big Team Challenge has officially finished!

A huge well done to Apex Trotters, who topped the leaderboard with an impressive 1,491.3km. 👏

The best part of the challenge wasn't the final rankings though. Over the last month we've seen colleagues getting outside more, joining group walks, supporting one another and making time for their wellbeing during busy days.

We've also been raising money for Mind and have so far raised £190. There is still time for a final donation before the fundraiser closes:

We’re really proud to share that Kinect Services is now delivering a CPD Certified One Day First Aid Course, with Cheryl accredited to lead the training.

The 7-hour course is open to anyone aged 18+ and is ideal for people working in frontline roles or supporting vulnerable individuals.

We will be delivering this at our office in Rayleigh every last Tuesday of the month or we can also deliver the training at your venue for groups of up to 12 learners.

From early morning pick-ups to journeys home at the end of the day, our teams work hard to keep people across the South East connected safely and reliably. Thank you to all of our drivers, passenger assistants, planners, and support teams who make every mile count. 💙

Can anyone even catch up with Apex Trotters now? 🏃

The latest Big Team Challenge update is in and Apex Trotters have broken through the 1,000km mark already.

It’s been great seeing teams heading out together for walks during lunch breaks and after work, including Craig joining one of the group walks along the seafront this week. Even Ernie has been helping contribute towards the team totals too 🐾

The challenge has definitely become more than just steps now. It’s encouraged people to get outside more, catch up with colleagues and take a proper break away from their screens during the day.

What does culture mean to you?
Traditions? Celebrations? Food? 🌍

Today our teams came together to celebrate World Day for Cultural Diversity with food, conversations and a chance to share what culture means to each of us personally.

Our board filled up with words like belonging, community, identity and respect, and it was lovely seeing everyone learning more about each other’s backgrounds and experiences.

A diverse workplace brings new ideas, different perspectives and stronger connections between people. Creating an environment where everyone feels included and comfortable being themselves is something that matters to us every day.
