After a couple of months break, we are back on TT Live! And one of our returning viewers had a wonderful surprise for us...

We love when people come to our Lives to learn about BSL, but finding out we have helped people actually start BSL courses? That's just wonderful! Watch till the end for tips on how to find a course

Note briefly: We use SSE (Signed Supported English) when doing LIVE’s to make it easier for the viewer to learn BSL Signs. SSE is not an official language. BSL has its own linguistic value. I'm sure we've all seen those green Fire Assembly Point signs out and about - at school, at work, at events, etc. The bright green and white can help make them stand out.

Unless you're Deafblind. Some Deafblind people struggle to differentiate details from a distance, and some might also be colourblind. So when your green sign is in front of green trees and bushes...

That's not great for finding in an emergency!

One of our Service Users encountered this issue, so worked with the venue to help make it more accessible and easier to spot.

Obviously we hope it is never needed, but at least now we know that if it is, then he will be able to find it!
