Last week, some of the AB Walker team swapped their usual day jobs for gardening gloves and headed over to The Royal Berks Charity's Oasis Garden to volunteer. 🌱💚

We had such a lovely time getting stuck into weeding, watering, composting and harvesting some of the incredible produce grown in the garden.

Even better, the produce harvested from the Oasis Garden is shared with community projects, helping this fantastic space make a difference beyond the hospital too.

A huge thank you to Jo for organising the day and making us feel so welcome. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and we’ll definitely be back! 🌿

Last month, we were honoured to support a truly personal farewell at West Berkshire Crematorium.

The service included a remarkable procession of vintage military vehicles, creating a powerful and deeply meaningful tribute. Their presence made for a memorable farewell and demonstrated just how personal a funeral can be.

A funeral is one final opportunity to tell someone's story.

"It doesn't have to follow a set pattern," says Mel. "The most memorable services are often the most personal."

Perhaps it's a favourite song that always made people smile.
A special colour instead of traditional black.
A classic car, horse-drawn carriage or a route past a place that meant the world.

Every life is unique, and every farewell can be too.

Writing down your wishes doesn't mean every detail has to be decided today. It simply gives your family a starting point and the reassurance that they're creating a farewell that's true to you.
