Day 14 of Return to Safety - It’s my final post

Today is about integration. Feeling whole. Feeling safe and having confidence in your sense of safety.

Over the past 14 days I’ve guided you through a a range of different exercises and techniques that have been designed to reset your nervous system. Helping you move gently from your sympathetic nervous system (fight or flight) to your parasympathetic nervous system (rest & digest)

I hope they have supported you in some way. I would love to you how they’ve helped you. Thank you to those who have shared their feedback with me already.

These are the techniques and practices I share with my clients. I am passionate about holistic healing; mind - body - spirit.

The transformation people experience when they combine my approaches is amazing.

If you’re ready to change your life and embrace holistic transformation then please get in touch.

Have a wonderful rest of your week. ☀️

Day 13 of Return to Safety - Embodying calm and confidence.

We’re almost at the end of this 14 day support guide, it’s gone so fast.

Today’s exercises are a great way start your week. Mindful breathing alongside a body connection is such a grounding and powerful way to start your day.

The ear massage is wonderful too. Our ears connect to meridian points throughout our whole body, so this is an excellent somatic exercise to wake up your system.

Who knows that where the tragus is?

Wishing you a grounded and healthy week ahead. 💕☀️

Day 12 of Return to Safety is about strengthening the vagus nerve.

Cat - Cow stretches are gentle, yet powerful. They help release tension, as you stretch and move with your breath.

I’m off to a stretch and mobilise class this morning with
I love this class and come and feeling like I’ve got a new body!

Try gargling as a change from humming. Great for toning the vagus nerve.

Wishing you a wonderful Sunday ☀️

Day 11 of Return to Safety - Emotional Rest

Life is unpredictable, and as humans we try our best to control as much as possible, so we feel safe. This is exhausting, and often stressful when things don’t go as planned.

We become overwhelmed when we’ve reached our tolerance level, and this can feel physically, emotionally and mentally draining.

Perhaps what you want to do is lay down in a quiet room and shut off from the world. For some, bringing the control back and making life feel stable again involves eating, drinking alcohol or smoking. However, these forms of reset don’t always feel good in the long term.

Today’s practices are gentle, easy and soothing. After just a few minutes, you’ll feel a shift as your nervous system begins to reset. The swaying actions soothes and signals safety, and the long exhales reinforce this, bringing calm.

Tune into your body and use these techniques before you hit empty and you’re struggling. Today, try them 3 or 4 times throughout the day and see what a difference it makes.

‘I allow my emotions to flow safely’

Wishing you a peaceful weekend. ☀️

Day 10 of Return to Safety - inner child connection

Our psyche is made of many parts that have developed over the course of our life in response to our experiences.

Connecting with our inner child and bringing a sense of safety to them is crucial to helping us feel safe and secure in our adult lives today.

Today’s practices are gentle and supportive. As always, start with your deep, slow mindful breathing and take your time.

💕All parts of you are welcome.💕

If you’re curious about exploring ‘parts’, DM for more information. Hypnotherapy and my Transpersonal coaching sessions are the ideal modalities to do this.

I’d love to know what familiar songs you’ve been humming to yourself. Let me know in the comments below.👇🏼

Day 9 of Return to Safety

Today is about releasing fear and allowing strong emotions to safely flow through you.

Shaking and stretching your body is a great way to do this. Animals shake instinctively to allow energy and emotion to pass through them, particularly when they’ve been frightened.

We can do the same!

This week I came across this acronym for fear.

Face
Everything
And
Rise

Does this resonate with you? Let me know in the comments.

🪷Day 7 - Return to Safety 🪷

This is one of my favourites, because I’m always cold, and love the feeling of warmth and weight.

Be mindful of putting a weighted blanket or a pillow on children. It’s a great tool for helping them feel settled and safe, but do supervise them.

The neck stretches combined with the deep breathing can give you a wonderful release. We hold more tension than we release in our jaw, neck and shoulders, so releasing this area is vital.

If you feel you need a professional to help with neck pain or discomfort I can highly recommend.

☀️Good morning ☀️

Day 6 of the ‘Return to Safety’ support guide brings you a comforting technique called Havening. It’s a soothing somatic exercise that brings you a sense of warmth, comfort and safety.

Try saying the affirmation at the same time, and let your body hear and feel your sense of inner peace and safety at the same time.

Wishing you a lovely Monday ✨

Good Morning - Day 5 of ‘Return to Safety’ is about gentle movement. Even splashing your face with cold water can be done in a way to signal safety. The feeling of your hands gently touching your face as you breathe deeply can be a comforting sensation.

The figure of 8 arm swing creates a rhythmic pattern of movement that feels soothing and relaxing. Breathe deeply and slowly as you move to boost the safety signals to your mind and body.

This is the perfect practice to end your week, and support you in resetting your nervous system ready for the week ahead.

One of my favourite ways to reset is with exercise. This morning I’m off to a Body Balance session with
Dawn’s sessions are a wonderful way to feel energised, strong and relaxed.

“ I move gently and my body responds with ease.”

Wishing you all a safe Sunday 🪷
