Working in the Buscot Neonatal Unit, our neonatal nurses provide specialist care and support for babies who need extra help in their first days and weeks of life. They are there for families during some of their most challenging and emotional moments, offering expert care, reassurance and compassion every step of the way.

Thank you to all our neonatal nurses for the skill, dedication and kindness you bring to your work every day. 💙

Get Repost App • BIBS 💜 Happy International Neonatal Nurses Day! 💜

Today is all about celebrating the incredible nurses who care for some of the tiniest and most vulnerable babies, and the families beside them.

Being a neonatal nurse is so much more than the clinical care they provide. It’s knowing the tiny details that make each baby unique, getting to know their routines and what helps them feel settled. It’s supporting families as they find their feet, listening, reassuring and being there through the good days, the difficult days and all the uncertainty in between.

And, of course, it’s doing all of this while juggling the clinical skills, knowledge and expertise needed to care for babies who need such specialist care. Neonatal nursing takes an incredible combination of compassion, patience, resilience and skill - and we are so lucky to have such an amazing team caring for our Buscot and Transitional Care families💜

So today, we simply want to say thank you.

Thank you for everything you do, for every baby you care for, every parent you support and every family you help through their neonatal journey. You make a huge difference, often in ways you’ll never fully know 💜

And we’re not stopping at today! Thanks to the generosity of our wonderful BIBS supporters, we’ll be celebrating with a tea party and gifts for the team next week 🥳☕🎁

Happy International Neonatal Nurses Day to our brilliant neonatal nurses - we hope you know just how appreciated you are! 💜

Who’s going to be viewing the solar eclipse today? Here’s some safety advice from the NHS - special ISO certified glasses, DIY pinhole boxes or colanders prepped and ready!

Learn how to protect your eyes whilst watching the partial solar eclipse!

We probably shouldn’t have to say this, but don’t look directly at the sun. Looking directly at the sun without the right protection can cause permanent damage to your eyesight – so you need to take care. Remember, your normal sunglasses may look great, but they won't cut it.

Follow the link to learn more about how to watch the eclipse safely!
