Music making charity Readipop Festival is throwing a housewarming party to remember! After a year of refurbishments, their Trafford Road studios are open and ready for the community to explore. Join them on Saturday, 22 August for live music, studio tours, street food and more. It is free to attend, but please book in advance!

A music charity is inviting the public to celebrate its newly refurbished studios with a free yard party.

Team Readipop are excited to announce that on Saturday 22nd August we are welcoming you all to our newly refurbished studios in Trafford Road for a Yard Party! Between 1-9pm, we’re bringing live music and DJs across two stages plus family workshops, drum performances, guided tours of our new studios, street food, licensed bar and more!

Those of you familiar with Readipop and our work as a music charity will know that the last couple of years have been a big transition for us while we focus on building our studios back into a hub for a diverse variety of local producers and performers (both grassroots and established). Our yard party is your opportunity to support our work and visit our new studios while enjoying the high level of musical talent, family workshops and other fun activities that everyone associates with Readipop Festival, Readipop Fiesta, Riverbeats and all our other previous events.

On Friday 11th & Saturday 12th September, Readipop will be representing at Down at the Abbey Festival in Reading Abbey Ruins! Our much-loved samba drumming group Beatroots perform on Saturday and we host two Readipop XOX Showcases featuring selected electronic music acts from our RG EMOM community, one on each day. These acts appear alongside some fantastic artists including previous Readipop Festival, Fiesta and Riverbeats performers Ibibio Sound Machine Rose Rey Kah'Nya The Amazing Tiger Band and more on what will be an excellent weekend of live music in a stunning location. We’re just about recovered from Saturday’s XOX 2026 event and are happy to share a selection of photos from the night, taken by the excellent . We loved seeing so many of you enjoying the live electronic acts Movement81 Mentat Bloco Electrohed Sophie Sirota & Martin Christie and we want to say a massive thank you to everyone who played and attended. Special thanks also to Rob Woodward, Steven Southall and all the Team Readipop members running the event, Matt Hulse whose “A Year In A Life Of RG EMOM” mini-doc was a huge hit (and will be showing from our Youtube channel soon) and, finally, to Oakford Social Club for being such a great venue for the night!

We are also especially grateful to everyone who kindly donated to Readipop before or at the event, allowing us to continue our work locally and provide more free to access events in the future. With your help, we have raised £447.23 so far from XOX 2026! We would absolutely love to reach £500 so if you haven’t yet and are able to donate a little on the link in our bio. that would be really appreciated by us at all at Team Readipop.
