September is Sepsis Awareness Month!

We will be holding an information day on Wednesday 16th September in our bistro area, where you can learn more about sepsis, the importance of recognising the signs early and how to help keep your loved ones safe.

There will be two talks offered by professionals during the day, 8am to 9am and 4pm to 5pm.

Yesterday we a hosted a fascinating talk from the VIVALDI Social Care research project, led by Zoe Fry from The Outstanding Society CIC.

VIVALDI is helping to build a stronger evidence base for social care, with a focus on improving care, reducing the risk of infections and ultimately supporting better outcomes for people living in care homes.

It was a fantastic day filled with insightful information, interesting discussions and the opportunity to learn more about the important work taking place within social care research.

We’re pleased to be involved and to play our part in supporting research that can help shape the future of care. 💚

We had a lovely surprise in Pangbourne village today bumping into the amazing Di from the Pangbourne Dementia forum in Greens of Pangbourne Butchers.

Such an amazing selection of pies and delicious treats. And yes we couldn’t leave without a Cedar Lodge initialled chicken and leek pie 🥧 💚
