We’re constantly encouraged to chase the next thing, the next goal, the next version of ourselves but yoga reminds us that peace isn’t found in the chase. It’s found here. In this breath. In learning to appreciate that life is… this moment ✨

I wrote this poem for the hearts that are learning that peace begins with letting go ✨

This is a perfect poem for a yoga class with a theme of Ishvara Pranidhana, surrendering to a higher power. Softening our grip and allowing life to unfold… exactly as it’s meant to 💫

I talk about this a lot in my yoga classes, letting go of the high expectations we have of ourselves and letting go of trying to control every outcome.

In yoga philosophy, we learn a lot about this subject from the Bhagavad Gita. Much of our suffering comes from trying to force life to unfold exactly as we want it to. But life doesn’t work that way and yoga philosophy teaches us to trust the wisdom that is far greater than the ego’s desires and fears.

Surrender means trusting instead of controlling, having faith instead of fear and staying present over striving.

And only once we can surrender, will we really begin to find peace 🫶🏼

Some people notice what isn’t being said ✨💫

They feel the shift in a room. They sense what others feel or are thinking before they’ve said a word. They pick up on the subtle cues that others often miss.

In a world that tends to value what is loud, obvious, and measurable, sensitivity can be misunderstood.

If you have a highly sensitive person in your life, don’t dismiss their intuition too quickly. Their perception may come from a place that logic hasn’t caught up with yet.

Sometimes the people who feel the most are simply paying attention in a different way ✨

Try this fun little mini cued flow moving from crescent lunge to crescent lunge twist, chair pose, divers pose and chair pose on toes 🙌🏼✨

I’ve been using this in my yoga classes for a long time now and it’s always a wobbly but fun way to get back to the top of the mat 😂

Happy first of the month and cinnamon day to all who celebrate and casts their spells of abundance 🪄✨

Blow cinnamon from the palm of your hand through your front door and into your house saying the words:

First of the month, cinnamon I blow, a spell of abundance to let money flow 🌬️✨✨✨✨

A little tutorial of how I taught myself when and how to mirror my students when I’m teaching my yoga classes ✨

I remember when I first started teaching, this was one of the hardest things for me to learn as I don’t know my left from my right at the best of times 🫢 but somehow I’ve learned how and when to mirror and when to move off my mat so that my students can still see me when they’re facing the side of the room in poses like WII etc. 💕

I forgot to mention in this video that when I have mandala flows in my sequence, I pop a mat at the back of the room and move to that mat so everyone can see me when they’re facing the back as we flow ✨🌀

Hope this helps someone that struggled like I did 🫶🏼🥰
