This morning we held our raffle, and we’d like to extend a big thank you to everyone who supported us in raising funds for The Lily Foundation. A special shout-out to Tracy and her friend Louise for their amazing effort in walking 21.6 miles in just 9 hours! Congratulations to our raffle winners—your prizes are ready for collection at the nursery. We're thrilled to share that we've raised a total of £1453.55 so far. ☀️ We’ve been a little quiet on here recently… but that’s because we’ve been busy making memories! 💛🐝

We’ve kicked off the summer holidays with lots of exciting adventures and learning experiences. So far we’ve enjoyed trips to Skinningrove Beach, Kirkleatham Park, Kirkleatham Museum, the woods for a scavenger hunt, and Locke Park, where the children have explored, discovered, played and learned through hands-on experiences.

There’s nothing better than seeing our little learners build confidence, curiosity and friendships while making the most of the great outdoors.

We can’t wait to share many more adventures and create even more learning-enriched memories together over the rest of the summer! 🌿🏖️🛝📚

We would like to say a massive congratulations to Little Vic as we all know her, she started with us in Oct 2024, as a shy student doing her T Level childcare, she then changed her mind and moved to complete her level 3 apprenticeship, today she has passed that with a Distinction! We had no doubt, she is amazing in everything she does at work! Well done Vic, we are all so so proud of you 🎉🎉🥳🥳

Ice Bug Hunt & Sprinkler Fun

Honey Bees have enjoyed exploring a bug hunt in the ice and water as it melted in the sunshine. After we explored the ice and water the children loved to run in between the water from the sprinkler as it cooled us down!

We're going on a mini beast hunt! 🐞 🕷️ 🐛

Over the last few days, the children have been full of excitement about mini beasts, which inspired us to create our own mini beast world in the Honeybees. We discussed what we might discover creeping and crawling outside. The children enjoyed finding our mini beasts and used scales to measure which ones were heavier or lighter. They demonstrated their understanding by identifying heavy and light objects. We then ventured outside to our mini beast hut, where the children had binoculars and magnifying glasses to explore the area for bugs. So far, we've spotted spiders, caterpillars, and even a butterfly! 🦋

To celebrate National Tea Day, our little ones enjoyed "The Tiger Who Came to Tea." They explored a variety of tastes and textures with a selection of fruity decaffeinated tea. The babies had a delightful time relishing the different flavours and making cups of tea for one another.
