Check Your Neck 💙

This Thyroid Cancer Awareness Month, we’re encouraging everyone to take a moment to check your neck.

Knowing what is normal for you can help you notice any changes. Take a few minutes to follow the simple instructions in the attached poster and check your neck for anything unusual, such as a new lump or swelling.

If you notice a change that concerns you, please speak to your GP. It’s important to get any new or persistent symptoms checked.

Could you get your blood pressure checked for free?

You may be eligible for a free blood pressure check at your local pharmacy if you:

✅ Are 40 or over
✅ Live in England
✅ Do not already have high blood pressure
✅ Have not had your blood pressure checked by a healthcare professional in the last 6 months

Checking your blood pressure is quick and could help identify high blood pressure early.

Do you know the symptoms of the 5 gynaecological cancers?💜

The symptoms can sometimes be difficult to recognise or may be mistaken for other conditions. That’s why it’s important to know your body and know the signs.
If you notice any symptoms that are unusual for you, persistent, or concerning, please speak to your GP. Most symptoms will not be cancer, but it’s always better to get them checked.

Need more information or support? Ask Eve, from The Eve Appeal, provides trusted information about the 5 gynaecological cancers, including symptoms, risk factors and what to do if you’re concerned. http://www.eveappeal.org.uk/.../ask-eve-information-service/
