21st May is International Tea Day! Good news or bad news for you? Are you a tea lover or tea hater?

Tea can offer lots of health benefits, depending on the type.

☕️Rich in antioxidants, tea contains compounds like polyphenols and catechins that help protect cells from damage. Choose green tea or black tea.

🫖Regular tea consumption has been linked with healthier blood pressure and cholesterol levels.
Improves alertness and focus. Choose green, black, oolong or hibiscus tea.

🫖Many teas contain caffeine plus L-theanine, which can promote calmer concentration than coffee. Choose green, matcha, black or peppermint tea.

☕️Herbal teas such as peppermint or ginger are commonly used to ease bloating or nausea. Choose peppermint, ginger, camomile, fennel, green or licorice root tea.

🫖Herbal varieties like chamomile are often used to support sleep and stress reduction. Choose chamomile, lavender, valerian root, lemon balm passionflower or peppermint teas.

How lovely this is! These guys (and many, many more visitors to my feeders today) keeping me company while doing the accounts. Instead of pulling out my hair crunching the numbers, I took a moment to just watch. Life can be so busy and we miss so much with head buried in computers and phones. Taking a moment to enjoy nature is so good for the soul.

Celebrating another trip around the sun today too… yes, another birthday, but I’ve stopped counting the years!!
