A lot of people apologise when they see me for being so upset. Please know you never have to apologise. Our pets are part of our families and often the grief of their passing sits on a lot more than simply their absence and can be complex and hard to navigate alone.
Yesterday I got to meet the lovely Celia Ramsden of Myalo Counselling in Redruth. Celia has been a Vet Nurse practitioner and teacher for many years and is very well respected within the vet world. 10 years ago she made the switch to full time counselling after realising more and more nursing students were seeking her out as a safe place to seek help with problems outside of their busy coursework. She has been helping pet owners and vet professionals ever since with her counselling skills, with a specialism in pet bereavement. With her unique understanding of veterinary practice and having loved and lost pets herself she is wonderfully placed to help you if you are finding the grief journey so much harder than you expected. She is bright and funny and caring and will help you navigate loss with kindness and compassion ποΈ
