A spinal manipulation is a quick, controlled movement applied to a joint — often used to help improve movement and reduce discomfort.
The “click” you sometimes hear is simply gas shifting within the joint, similar to cracking your knuckles. It’s not bones “going back into place.”
Current research suggests manipulation may help by temporarily reducing sensitivity around the area, stimulating the nervous system and making movement feel easier and more comfortable.
For some people, this can help reduce pain, improve mobility, and support a return to normal activity — especially when combined with muscle release, advice and rehabilitation.
Simple, evidence-informed, and always tailored to the individual.
