Many people worry that their posture is causing their pain.

In reality, there isn’t one “perfect” posture, and posture alone is rarely the cause of pain.

Spending long periods in any position can become uncomfortable, which is why movement and variety matter.
Strength, sleep, stress, activity levels, and many other factors can all influence how we feel.

Rather than aiming for perfect posture, try aiming for regular movement throughout the day.

The best posture is often your next posture.

Feel free to ask us at your next appointment — we’re always happy to discuss.

Another happy runner making progress! 🏃‍♀️

“So impressed with all the work, exercises and explanations I am getting from Marlijn to help me with my running injury and long term issue that keeps causing me to get injured. Great to find someone who spotted my long term issue straight away.” - P.DJ.

Helping clients understand why injuries keep returning is just as important as treating the symptoms. It was fantastic to hear this feedback from a runner who had been struggling with recurring injuries and a long-term issue that had never been properly identified.

By looking at the bigger picture, we can build a plan that not only helps recovery but also supports stronger, more resilient running for the future.

Thank you for the kind words.

Whether you’re a runner, bowler, tennis player, golfer or weekend warrior, getting back to activity often requires more than hands-on treatment alone.

At The Reigate Chiropractic Clinic, we combine chiropractic care, rehabilitation and sports massage to help people move with confidence and stay active.

Hands-on treatment can help reduce discomfort and improve movement. Rehabilitation helps build strength, resilience, and confidence. Sports massage can support recovery and manage the demands of training and competition.

Different tools. One goal:
Helping you get back to doing what you enjoy.

A spinal manipulation is a quick, controlled movement applied to a joint — often used to help improve movement and reduce discomfort.

The “click” you sometimes hear is simply gas shifting within the joint, similar to cracking your knuckles. It’s not bones “going back into place.”

Current research suggests manipulation may help by temporarily reducing sensitivity around the area, stimulating the nervous system and making movement feel easier and more comfortable.

For some people, this can help reduce pain, improve mobility, and support a return to normal activity — especially when combined with muscle release, advice and rehabilitation.

Simple, evidence-informed, and always tailored to the individual.

Questions about treatment? We’re always happy to talk things through.

“It’s easy to not bother leaving a review, but this place is amazing. The initial contact was full of useful and important information, the booking process so simple too. The staff I’ve met are lovely, it must be hard always being so chatty and friendly to every client that walks through the door. Marlijn was super cool, easy to understand, great at explaining everything and interesting to talk to. I personally find it great to be able to chat normally and relax which I felt very able to do. Having been a client about 15 years ago it was great to see their newish location, with large, airy rooms. It’s a brilliant business. Easy to park near by too.“

D.P. Thank you so much for your kind words. It means the world to us!

As always, many thanks to Roland for the beautiful photos.

You don’t need to run marathons or compete professionally to benefit from sports massage.
For many people, it’s simply a way to reduce tension, improve comfort, and move a bit more freely — especially after long days, repetitive activity, training, or physical work.
Our sports massage therapist, David Payne, takes a practical, tailored approach to treatment. With a Level 5 qualification and a background in both playing and coaching sport, he understands the demands active lifestyles place on the body — whether that’s regular training, weekend tennis, cycling, gardening, or simply keeping moving well.
David has a particular interest in helping people stay active as they get older, with a focus on maintaining strength, flexibility, and confidence in movement.
Because staying active shouldn’t have an age limit.

Many thanks to for the pics

What does it do?
Kinesiology tape doesn’t “fix” injuries — but it can influence how the body senses and responds to movement.
When applied to the skin, the tape provides a light, constant stimulus to your skin receptors.
These receptors send signals to the brain about position, movement, and pressure - this is proprioception
This added sensory input may help to:
• Improve proprioception (awareness of joint position and movement)
• Alter how the brain interprets discomfort
• Encourage more confident, controlled movement
There’s also some evidence that taping may slightly affect local circulation and reduce perceived pain — although results vary between individuals.
Overall, the effects are likely neurological rather than structural.
That’s why taping is best used as part of a wider approach — alongside movement, loading, and rehabilitation.
In short:
It doesn’t “hold things in place” — but it may help the body move and respond more comfortably.

As always, massive thanks to for making us look good!

Helping the body do its job

Hands-on care isn’t about forcing change - it’s about guiding it.
Our body is constantly adapting, adjusting and responding to the demands we place on it. Usually, we can handle it just fine, but sometimes things can get a little stuck. Movement becomes restricted and sensitivity builds.
That’s where we come in.
We focus our care on restoring movement, reducing irritation, and supporting the body’s own ability to settle and adapt.
Simple, considered, and based on what your body needs.
