WEEK 1 RESULTS ARE IN… and the scales only tell half the story!

Week 1 of my 6 Week Back to Basics Challenge is DONE ✔️

⚖️ 1.6lbs down
📏 1 inch off my bust
📏 1 inch off my waist

And I’m genuinely really pleased with that.

Because this week hasn’t been a “perfect” weight loss week. Far from it!

I’ve had TWO days completely off plan, one for my son’s birthday and another for my friend’s baby shower. I ate what I wanted, enjoyed both occasions, felt ZERO guilt… and then got back to it.

At one point during the week I actually saw 10st 7.8lbs on the scales, which was 3.2lbs down from where I started.

So why am I now “only” 1.6lbs down?

Because bodies fluctuate! 🙌

After a couple of higher-calorie days, more carbs, more salt and simply more food, I’d fully expect to be holding some additional water weight.

I’ve also started taking creatine again. Creatine draws water into the muscles, so I knew when I started that it could affect the number I see on the scales.

Add to that the fact I’ve massively increased my walking this week and there’s quite a lot going on that the scales simply can’t explain.

Which is EXACTLY why I’m taking measurements too.

Because imagine if I ignored everything else and just focused on the fact I’d seen a lower number earlier in the week?

I could convince myself I’d “gained”.

When actually…

🩷 I’m 1.6lbs lighter than I was a week ago
🩷 I’ve lost 2 inches
🩷 I’ve moved my body loads more
🩷 I’ve prioritised my protein and water
🩷 I’ve stayed consistent with my creatine and collagen
🩷 I’ve enjoyed TWO special occasions
🩷 And most importantly… I got straight back on plan afterwards.

THAT is the bit I’m most pleased about.

I don't want six weeks of hiding away from birthdays, meals out, weekends and social occasions just so I can get a “perfect” result.

I want to show what realistic weight loss for a busy woman in her 40s actually looks like.

Life happens.

The goal isn't to be perfect around it.

The goal is to stop letting one day off plan turn into a week, then a month, then “I'll start again Monday…” 😬

Enjoy it. Own i

BACK TO BASICS | Day 1 💙

Today I'm making a promise to myself.

Not to be perfect.

Not to lose a certain amount of weight.

But to get back to the habits that make me feel my healthiest, happiest and most confident.

I've maintained a huge amount of the weight I originally lost, but over time I've gradually drifted away from the routines that helped me get there.
It's happened slowly.

Less water.

Fewer steps.

The evening glass of wine becoming two.

Skipping my supplements.

Telling myself I'd start again "next Monday."
Sound familiar?

So today I'm drawing a line.

For the next 6 weeks I'm going Back to Basics.

✨ Following the step that's right for me
💪 Aiming for 100g of protein every day
🚶‍♀️ 10,000 steps
💧 3 litres of water
🤍 Daily creatine & collagen
📲 Accountability

And here's the important bit...

I've got birthdays and our wedding anniversary coming up over the next couple of weeks.
I'm still going to enjoy every one of those celebrations.

Because this isn't about putting life on hold.
It's about showing that real life and weight loss can absolutely go together.

Over the next six weeks I'll be sharing my starting weight, measurements, progress, the good days, the difficult days and everything in between.

If you've been thinking...
"I really need to get back on track..."..why don't we do it together?

Message me with the word BASICS for a no obligation chat about how I can help you!

Men’s health isn’t just about weight, it’s about quality of life!

After a serious motorbike accident, Barry was left living with chronic pain. Over time, his health challenges increased, including type 2 diabetes and severe sleep apnoea, which eventually affected his independence.

Wanting to take back control, Barry chose a practical, supportive approach to improve his health in a more sustainable way.

After 8 months on The 1:1 Diet*:

🙌 Waistline reduced from 42" to 32"
🙌 More than 3 stone lost
🙌 Type 2 diabetes diagnosis reversed

This Men’s Health Week, his journey highlights the importance of taking action for your health.

💙 From Prediabetes to Better Health

When Hyacinth was told she was pre-diabetic and at risk of developing Type 2 Diabetes, she knew something needed to change.

Like many women, she was worried about her health, her future and the impact excess weight was having on her wellbeing.

At almost 60 years old, her health concerns were growing, and she didn't want to spend the years ahead feeling unwell.

Over the following 17 months, Hyacinth lost an incredible 9 stone 4lbs* and the results went far beyond weight loss.

✅ Her risk of Type 2 Diabetes is gone
✅ Her blood pressure is now in the normal range
✅ Her sleep apnoea has resolved
✅ She has more energy and confidence
✅ She feels able to enjoy life again

One of the most common things I hear from clients is that they wish they'd started sooner.

If you've been told you have prediabetes, are worried about your blood sugar levels, or want to reduce your risk of Type 2 Diabetes, losing weight and making sustainable lifestyle changes can have a significant impact on your health.

Most importantly, you don't have to do it alone.

If you're looking for weight loss support, want to improve your health, or would like to learn more about how The 1:1 Diet could help, send me a message with the word HEALTH.

What would better health allow you to do that you're struggling with today?

When my client was diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes, she was devastated.

Not because of the label itself, but because she felt she'd somehow failed.

Three years earlier she'd lost weight with me, but after being diagnosed with cancer and going through extensive treatment, life looked very different.

A routine health check revealed her HbA1c had reached 57, putting her in the Type 2 Diabetes range.

Her GP suggested weight-loss injections, but after everything she'd already put her body through, she wanted to explore another option.

After discussing the evidence and reviewing the NHS-funded DROPLET study, she chose to follow my programme with one-to-one support.

Over the next 12 weeks she:

✅ Lost 1½ stone

✅ Continued attending social events

✅ Increased her activity with support from a PT

✅ Stayed consistent without putting her life on hold

Two weeks ago. she received her results.

Her HbA1c had fallen from 57 to 34 and she is now back in the non-diabetic range meaning her Type 2 Diabetes is now in remission. Her GP claimed it was "remarkable".

The biggest thing I want you to take from this isn't the weight loss.

It's that no matter where you're starting from, there is hope.

A diagnosis doesn't define your future, and you don't have to navigate it alone.

If you're struggling with your weight, worried about your health, or feeling overwhelmed about where to start, send me the word SUPPORT and let's have a chat ❤️
