Never written so many of these! There has been another recall from our manufacturers- this time for Ramipril 2.5mg capsules in a Crescent brand (a red box with a pink circle). One batch have been supplied with a different strength inside. Only the batch number GR155023, with expiry date 08/2027 are affected. Please see the attached image. If you think you have received any affected stock, please contact you local Complete Care Pharmacy, Rhymney Pontlottyn and Gelligaer team. As before, please note that patients who have their medication in dosette boxes (trays) will not be affected as the medication will have been checked individually

Not sure what's happening in the manufacturing world at the moment but we have another medication recall. Sertraline 100mg tablets, only in an Amarox brand (shown). The affected batch has the expiry date 05/2028 and the batch number V2500428. They may contain a strip of citalopram 40mg tablets, which are a similar medication in the same group of drugs. The sertraline from this supplier should be caplet shaped with 3 and 1 on one side, and HS on the other, while the citalopram would be oval with Z and 9 on one side and H on the other (please note other suppliers would use different markings). Patients who have their medication supplied in trays by the pharmacy do not need to check as this would have been done when their medication was dispensed. Please contact your Complete Care Pharmacy, Rhymney Pontlottyn and Gelligaer team if you are unsure or require any further information

PLEASE NOTE there has been a patient recall on ramipril 10mg capsules in a Crescent brand - the red box shown. These were first sent out by suppliers in May 2025, so while it is unlikely that patients have supplies at home, we are asking all patients to check their medication. Please note, it is only this brand affected, and only those with an expiry date of 10/2026, and a batch number of GR174091. For those patients who have their medicines packaged into trays, you do not need to do anything, as the markings on the medication would have been different and this would have been picked up during checking. Please contact your Complete Care Pharmacy, Rhymney Pontlottyn and Gelligaer team if you have any affected stock or if you have any concerns.
